Minecraft Bedrock has adopted the Emote feature from other multiplayer games. Players in Minecraft worlds can now communicate with each other using gestures instead of words. Emotes are creative and fun... but acquiring them is actually pretty tricky. In this article, we are going to showcase a list of all emotes in Minecraft Bedrock and how to get them.

1 - How to activate emotes in Minecraft Bedrock

Emotes are a part of the character creator that allows players to perform animations. The Java version does not have this feature as it is partially monetized.

Emotes in Minecraft make your multiplayer games much funnier and your characters more expressive.

Minecraft players can equip up to 6 emotes at the same time. When in a world, they can press a certain hotkey to open up the Emote menu. This differs based on the system the player is using:

  • PC: pressing B on a keyboard
  • Console: D-Pad left, Left button/+Control Pad left or D-Pad left on a console controller
  • Phone: Tapping the Emote button on the top of the screen

Afterward, just click on an emote to perform the animation. There is no cooldown for this and players can do emotes continuously.

Notes

  • As long as the player isn't riding anything, the player would still perform the emote. It actually doesn't matter whether the player is submerged (partially or fully) in a liquid (water or lava), flying, falling, levitating, sneaking, or on dry land.
  • Despite being shown at MINECON Live 2019, the  "Celebrate" and "Follow Me" emotes have not been made available yet.
