For hardcore players who want to complete 100% of the game, Minecraft does not end with beating the Ender Dragon in Hard. Tackling the Advancement table is a must, especially when you want to do everything the game has to offer.

However, some of the Advancements in the table are hidden by default... which hinders players from completing them. Therefore, in this article, we are going to showcase the hidden advancements in Minecraft and how to get them.

1. Hero of the Village

This advancement unlocks when players successfully defend a village from a raid in Minecraft. To trigger a raid, players need to enter a village while under the influence of a Bad Omen buff. It doesn't count if the village is abandoned so you need to trigger it in your own acquired village.

To become Hero of the Village, preparations are needed.

A raid is a special event in which waves of illagers attack a village and slaughter all NPCs inside it. Raids are one of the most challenging contents in Minecraft, with multiple waves of enemies based on set difficulty. Try to prepare the defenses in your village first before triggering one.

2. Voluntary Exile

The Voluntary Exile achievement unlocks when players kill a raid captain, which is an illager with an ominous banner. The raid captain usually spawns during a raid, sometimes even riding a ravager. Players can also come across them on the map during pillager patrols or pillager outpost.

It is not too hard to deal with these mobs, as long as you don't let them surround your character. A safe approach is to snipe them from afar. Both features related to raids become hidden advancements in Minecraft.

3. Arbalistic

This is one of the hardest hidden advancements in Minecraft, which requires players to kill five different mobs with one shot using a crossbow. Firstly, players need to get a crossbow from either looting or crafting and enchant it to at least Piercing IV so that the arrows can hit 5 targets.

Arbalistic
Arbalistic is a pretty crazy challenge, but not improbable as long as you prepare.

Afterward, assemble a group of 5 peaceful mobs like cow, chicken, llama...etc and place them between two walls. Build them in so that they can't move around to ruin your aim. Hit the bigger mobs like cow a few times so that their HP is low enough for a single crossbow shot... and line up your shot to get the advancement.

Overall, it is lucky that this achievement does not require you to hit 5 hostile mobs.

4. How Did We Get Here?

This is considered to be the hardest hidden advancement in Minecraft to unlock. Players need to have all 26 status effects in the game applied to them at once.

Below is a list of all the effects:

Absorption, Bad Omen, Blindness, Conduit Power, Dolphin's Grace, Fire Resistance, Glowing, Haste, Hero of the Village, Hunger, Invisibility, Jump Boost, Levitation Mining Fatigue, Nausea, Night Vision, Poison, Regeneration, Resistance, Slow Falling, Slowness, Speed, Strength, Water Breathing, Weakness, Wither.

Overall, this achievement is much harder than it sounds. You will need a lot of preparation.

  • Firstly, brew all the required potions for the effects and fill dispensers with them.
  • Afterward, get the Hero of the Village and the Bad Omen status effect. It should be OK as their duration is pretty long.
  • Lastly, get all the mob status effects then use the dispenser to activate the rest of the effect from potions.
