Modding is the easiest way to bring new elements to your world of Minecraft, especially when you have explored everything. Gurugamer have already talked about graphic mods, weapon mods, mods that adds new mobs, but not structure mods. In this article, we are going to list out the top 5 best Minecraft structure mods ever created.
1 - The Twilight Forest
The Twilight Forest is one of the most popular Minecraft structure mods ever created. To date, it has gathered an eye-watering 52 million downloads. Unlike other mods that only modify the Overworld here and there, the Twilight Forests mod adds a completely new dimension, filled with trees as far as the eye can see. There are breathtaking vistas and amazing discoveries await you around every corner. New mobs, blocks, and structures are also added, including the Lich Tower, a labyrinth full of undead creatures.
Twilight Forest is also super invested. It comes with fully fledged dungeons, diverse boss battles with elaborate mechanics, items and loot with unique traits and functionality... and more. It is also pretty lore-friendly. To get started, you will need to create your own portal similar to a nether portal, using grass blocks and flowers.
2 - Repurposed structures
This mod improves vanilla structures in Minecraft by adding new variants or modifying them. The amount of content is massive - you can get ten times as many of the usual Minecraft structure variants. Included with this mod are 14 Mineshaft types, 11 dungeon variants, 15 temple structures, 10 village structures, 2 igloo structures, 7 mansion structures, 4 shipwreck structures, 5 witch hut structures, and many more.
This mod is also upgraded very frequently, with the modder adding more and more new variants of vanilla styled structures.
3 - Valhesia Structures
Valhesia Structures is one of the newer mods on this list. Unlike Repurposed Structures, it adds completely new lore-friendly buildings onto the map instead. Explore the world of Minecraft all over again, this time with dungeons, abandoned buildings, castles, temples, ruins scattered all over the place for you to explore.
Players can certainly claim the existing structures and build around them to save time and effort.
4 - YUNG's Better Mineshafts
YUNG's Better Mineshafts completely revamps vanilla abandoned mineshafts, changing them from boring straight lines into dynamic, varied webs of tunnels. Players can now enjoy exploring tunnels: Find loot tucked away in the corners of abandoned workstations, or out in the open in a chest on a minecart.
This mod adds 9 biome variants, including a rare mushroom mineshaft. Furthermore, players can also find ore deposits at the end of some tunnels with coal, iron, redstone, gold, lapis, emerald, and (very rarely) diamond.
5 - Macaw's Bridges
Macaw's Bridges is a simple mod that adds small variations of bridges into the world of Minecraft. This will make your Minecraft world more detailed instead of just miles of wilderness. These bridges spawn naturally and vary in functionality and look. From material to support pillars, they almost never look out of places in a Minecraft biome. The newest version also adds torches onto bridges as well, making them more striking than ever.
While this mod is not as big as the others on this list, it makes the Minecraft world feel more alive. This is super useful for Minecraft roleplay servers where the scenery is key.
