Etherborn, an upcoming game developed by the indie studio Altered Matter which is located in Barcelona, is an interesting choice for those who love nostalgic puzzle-platformers. The game looks pretty awesome, and is scheduled to release on July 18 for PC and consoles.

Etherborn
Etherborn is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Into the game, players will find themselves in a world where gravity changes whenever they switch their running surface. Players could run up walls, and the camera will follow them no matter what. In fact, it seems the game is a complicated one, but players are very likely to feel refreshed when enjoying it, just by exploring the wonderful world around, feeling the environment, or accidentally getting on the correct direction.

New elements will show up on the environment as players get to certain points of the map, creating several puzzles. As you probably noticed via the trailer above, some of these elements can be summoned by standing on the right buttons.

Here is the official description of Etherborn:

In this world, the laws of physics behave in a way that will bend your imagination. You experience gravity perpendicular to the surface you are standing on, allowing for creative exploration possibilities in environments carefully crafted as navigation-based puzzles.

The game is designed to encourage players to start their own adventure, to "go forth and seek your purpose". This sounds quite interesting because it could make people curious about its whole gameplay, or how the developer can turn their idea into something elegant. Despite all that, it's still enjoyable even if the storyline is just an excuse for the free-wandering through levels.
