Finding Every Piece of Cake in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Verso's Drafts DLC

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's free "Thank You" update added Verso's Drafts, a whimsical doodle-filled area packed with Half-Baked Gestrals and secrets. To access a hidden birthday party zone behind a hungry Gingerbread Door, players must collect three Pieces of Cake. These combine automatically into a Birthday Cake upon obtaining the third one. The Pieces of Cake come from completing simple Gestral quests involving a statue puzzle, a toy hunt, and a carnival ride. All are found in Verso's Drafts, reachable south of the main map after Act 3.

Piece of Cake 1: Gestral Baths Esquie Statue Puzzle

This Piece comes from the Half-Baked Lifeguard after balancing the glowing Esquie statues.

1. Fast travel to the Gestral Baths Expedition Flag (or head east from Verso's Drafts entrance).
2. Spot the cluster of six glowing orange Esquie statues nearby (they represent "Whees" in orange and "Whoos" in blue).
3. Interact with exactly three statues to turn them blue, leaving the other three orange. A "ding" sound or Esquie "wheee" confirms success (trial and error works; one guide suggests right statue first, then left, then one under a waterfall).
4. Speak to the Half-Baked Lifeguard near the pool chair. He rewards the Piece of Cake and often a Double Bun haircut for Monoco.

Piece of Cake 2: Reverie Path Toy Boat Quest

Three Gestrals lost their Toy Boat in a nearby waterfall.

1. Fast travel to the Reverie Path Expedition Flag (or Open Playground Flag north area).
2. Head downhill to the pool with three Half-Baked Gestrals playing with toy boats (near seesaws or playground).
3. Talk to them; they ask you to retrieve the missing Toy Boat.
4. Follow the river or water toward the waterfall, drop off the edge, and go behind/under it (look for a pink glow in the alcove).
5. Pick up the Toy Boat and return it to the Gestrals for your Piece of Cake.

Piece of Cake 3: Candy Land Carnival Ride

The Very Very Cool Gestral (a Verso lookalike with Esquie masks) runs the main attraction.

1. From the Reverie Path Expedition Flag, head west toward Candy Land (carnival area with giant flying chairs/swings/carousel).
2. Talk to the Very Very Cool Gestral near the ride; select "Standing in line is boring" for free tickets if prompted.
3. Ride the attraction once with every character (switch party members at camp if needed; all five must go).
4. After the final ride, the Gestral rewards the Piece of Cake (and Esquie outfits for the party in some cases).

Assembling the Birthday Cake and Opening the Gingerbread Door

With all three Pieces of Cake, they automatically form a Birthday Cake (often on the third pickup).

1. Head north from the Gestral Baths Expedition Flag (or uphill left from Reverie Path) to the massive Gingerbread Door with eyes and a mustache.
2. Interact and offer the Birthday Cake. The door opens for the "greatest birthday party."

Rewards and What's Inside

Enter a vibrant party zone with flying trains. Ride the train ahead to Licornapieds Station Expedition Flag and battle Licornapieds bosses for the Frenzy Picto (10% damage increase per successive hit). The area also hides Paint Cages, Hopscotch puzzles (rewarding haircuts like Sciel's Double Bun), weapons, and more DLC collectibles.
