2 - The underwater UFO
The wrecked spaceship sits off the San Andreas coast, north of Procopio Beach and east of the main peninsula. Since it's down on the ocean bottom, you'll need a submersible to drop deep and check it out - one of those classic GTA 5 hidden spots.
3 - Jack Howitzer's Motel Room
Jack Howitzer shows up in a bunch of GTA games. In GTA 5, he has a reality show shot at the Motor Motel, which you catch a glimpse of on in-game TV. You can head to the Motor Motel, glitch past the door, drop off the map, and parachute down to reach Howitzer's room where he's hanging with his crew.

4 - Explore a secret mine
A mine up in the mountains is sealed off by a wooden door. Throw a grenade to blast it open and head in. Not too far inside, you'll come across the only thing living there: a dead body of a guy in 1940s outfits. This seems like a reference to L.A. Noire, adding to those Grand Theft Auto V Easter eggs.
5 - The Taco Van
In story mode, Taco Vans pop up all over, but in GTA Online, it only appears in one set spot. Hit the dirt road north of Sandy Shores between 1:00 and 2:00 PM in-game to grab it. There's just one Taco Van per GTA Online session.
6 - The Ghost of Mount Gordo Drive
You can catch your first supernatural thing in GTA V at a big campsite on Mount Gordo Drive. Show up between 11 and 12 PM in-game to spot a ghostly shape standing on a nearby peak. Around the ghost, you'll pick up whispers and a chilling scream - perfect for fans of Los Santos mysteries.

7 - Spawn inside the empty Humane Labs building
The Humane Lab serves as a heist site that's usually off-limits outside missions, like the Humane Lab Heist. In story mode, even stepping in ramps up your wanted level to 4 stars.
To slip inside, get close to the building, pick a job from the menu, and cancel it fast. The glitch puts you right in the Humane Lab for free roaming. This stands out as the largest among GTA 5 Online secret locations.
8 - Re-Enactment of a scene from Thelma & Louise
This plays out between 7 and 8 PM in the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness near Raton Canyon. Fly a helicopter up to the cliff to witness the closing scene from the movie Thelma & Louise recreated in GTA.
In this event, cops and cars surround a vehicle on the cliff's edge. After an officer tries to get close, it drives straight off. It's set in stone - the car goes over even if you take out all the police. You can take that car for a spin after it explodes at the bottom.
9 - The Epsilon Overlook vantage point
The Epsilon Overlook is a neat spot in Los Santos with an excellent view. Head to the Epsilon Building at the corner of Rockford Drive and Spanish Avenue in Rockford Hills. Go through the gate, hang left, follow the narrow path, then right.
You'll spot a hidden ladder to the left of the door ahead. Climb it to reach another ladder up to the roof. It's a one-of-a-kind view of the city.
10 - A Secret Bunker in the Los Santos International Airport
There's a little bunker tucked away in the LSIA - it's in a U-shaped structure. Enter using the staircase topped with doors. It takes you to a utility area where you can go down to find vending machines. Plus, a hatch leads up to the roof.
11 - The Underwater Hatch
Deep underwater off the northeast part of the map, you'll find a hatch that nods to the TV show Lost. Get near it, and it starts tapping Morse code: 'Hey, you never call, how'd you fancy going bowling?' - a fun callback to GTA IV. This is one of those hidden Easter eggs in GTA Online that ties into the series' history.
12 - The Infinite 8 Killer Sites
Clues to a serial killer are scattered around the map, like messages on rocks and bodies in the ocean with notes. Piece them together to learn about Merle Abrahams, fixated on the number 8. Exploring these spots uncovers a dark story in the world of GTA 5 secret locations.
13 - Mount Chiliad UFO
Once you've hit 100% completion, head to the top of Mount Chiliad at 3 AM during rain. You'll see a UFO hologram with FIB logos. It's part of the ongoing Mount Chiliad mystery, one of the most talked-about Grand Theft Auto V Easter eggs even in 2025.
That covers our updated list for GTA 5 Online secret locations in 2025. With Rockstar still dropping updates as GTA 6 waits until 2026, who knows what new hidden spots might show up. Interested in more GTA Series content? Take a look at this post on the Most Underrated Businesses In GTA Online.
