GTA Online fans, get ready—Rockstar just dropped a heads-up to community pages that a fresh update is hitting this June. They sent out emails, spotted by folks like videotechuk_, and it’s got everyone hyped.
This isn’t out of nowhere. Rockstar usually rolls out summer DLCs in June, like clockwork, and this year’s no exception. Tez2, a big name in the GTA scene, called it weeks ago, pointing out the GTA+ membership cycle ends June 16, 2025. He bet on new content dropping around June 17, and this email pretty much confirms he’s on the money.
Last year’s summer update, Bottom Dollar Bounties, landed June 25, 2024, with cool stuff like the Bail Office property and new Dispatch Work missions. It gave players fresh ways to stack cash and switch up gameplay, which is exactly what keeps the community hooked.
What’s neat is how Rockstar broke the news—straight to community pages instead of the usual social media blast. That’s got people thinking this update’s gonna be a big deal. They’re teasing “more details soon,” so we might hear more as early as tomorrow or over the weekend.
Good event week coming up, as well!

Keeping the Hype for GTA 6
With GTA 6 set for May 26, 2026, these updates are keeping the current game alive while Rockstar polishes the next one. GTA V’s still got a huge player base, and these content drops are why it’s creeping up on Minecraft as the best-selling game ever.
Oh, and if you don’t own GTA V yet, it’s on sale for the 2025 Days of Play event. The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is also at a crazy low price, and GTA III is free for PS Plus folks later this month.
