In the Fields of Mourning in Hades 2, players encounter Echo, a mystical character who lacks a physical form in the game world but appears in dialogues. When Melinoë speaks to her, Echo repeats the last thing Melinoë said three times, sometimes inadvertently hinting at her predicament.
Like other NPCs you encounter during a run, Echo offers a selection of special rewards. These rewards are themed around the concept of an echo and include items you've previously acquired, boons you've collected before, or other rewards that deteriorate over time.
Since Hades 2 is currently in Early Access, the list of Echo choices may be incomplete and is expected to expand over time. This guide to the best Echo rewards in Hades 2 will be updated to reflect patches and balance changes as the game progresses toward its 1.0 version.

Boon Boon Boon
Echo's "Boon Boon Boon" reward grants you a random Boon that Melinoë acquired the previous night. The random nature of this reward makes it hard to recommend, as its usefulness can vary greatly. You might receive the Heroic version of Soot Sprint, which you had when defeating Eris the night before, or you might end up with the Common version of Furnace Blast, which is only effective with specific Boons and effects.
Unfortunately, the selected Boon for the "Boon Boon Boon" reward isn't displayed next to the choice, unlike the "Reward Reward Reward" option, adding to its unpredictability.
Reward Reward Reward
Similar to "Boon Boon Boon," Echo's "Reward Reward Reward" option gives Melinoë an item she has already received. However, this time it's the last reward you collected in your current run. This can be anything from Ashes or Gold to another Boon choice – if the previous reward was a Boon, you'll get another choice from the same God.
Given that "Fight Fight Fight" and "Evade Evade Evade" are not based on chance, "Reward Reward Reward" is often not worth picking. Nonetheless, if your last reward was a Boon from a powerful God, selecting "Reward Reward Reward" could be beneficial for obtaining another valuable Boon. Additionally, if you know you won't last much longer, it might be worthwhile to pick this option to double up on a recently obtained Reagent.
Fight Fight Fight
"Fight Fight Fight" boosts your max Life and Magick by 50%, but this amount decreases by 10 after every Location. This Boon provides a significant, temporary boost that will likely help you get past Cerberus and reach the House of Hades. Yet, the Life and Magick buff rarely lasts through to the final fight. Even if you reach Chronos within 10 Locations, the buff will be significantly reduced.
Choose "Fight Fight Fight" if you're struggling and need a boost to get past Cerberus. In most situations, but, "Evade Evade Evade" is a better first choice at Echo.
Evade Evade Evade
"Evade Evade Evade" is a dependable choice, unlike the chance-based Boon or Reward options. It gives you a 50% chance to dodge any damage, which decreases by 2% each time you successfully dodge an attack. This Boon does not lose its effectiveness as quickly as "Fight Fight Fight," which diminishes significantly after 10 Locations.
When combined with Arcana and other upgrades that boost your Dodge chance, "Evade Evade Evade" makes Melinoë almost impossible to kill. Even on its own, this Boon is extremely valuable due to the significant increase in your ability to avoid and mitigate incoming damage.
Although "Reward Reward Reward" and "Boon Boon Boon" can grant powerful boons and upgrades, their reliance on chance makes them difficult to plan around. Meanwhile, "Fight Fight Fight" loses its effectiveness too quickly to be valuable in the late game, although it can serve as a helpful short-term boost.
If you can play skillfully and conserve your Dodge boost, "Evade Evade Evade" can make the Chronos boss fight significantly easier. This is the best Echo reward to choose if "Reward Reward Reward" doesn't offer a beneficial boon choice, or if your Life is already high enough to not need "Fight Fight Fight."
