Battlefield 6 brings a solid dose of modern warfare action, perfect for players who are over historical battles, sci-fi shootouts, or goofy skins. If you and your crew want to team up and take on enemies like OPFOR, here’s how to jump into multiplayer together.

Just a heads up, the game’s open beta has seen massive hype, with over 250,000 players in server queues at times, so you might face long waits to get your squad into a match. This huge demand could make it tricky to coordinate and start playing together right away, especially during peak times.

First, make sure your friends are added to your in-game friends list. If you’re going for cross-play, link your EA account to your PlayStation or Xbox account so your friends show up in the game. Keep in mind, PC players can only squad up with other PC players, but console players can mix and match across platforms.

  • Head to MyAccount.ea.com
  • Go to Manage Linked Accounts
  • Pick the platform account you want to link and hit Continue
  • Type in your account password
  • Authorize Electronic Arts
  • Click Link Accounts

Once that’s set, hit the Lobby button and click one of the + buttons to pull up your friends list. Pick a name and send an invite. You can have up to four people in your squad, but others can join mid-match—they’ll just get put in a different squad.

You can also tweak your squad settings at the top of the Lobby screen to make it Invite Only or Joinable, depending on whether you want to keep it exclusive or open. After that, choose your game mode, start the match, and your squad can stick together through rounds without getting split up.
