Ice Age is such a famous movie that so many games have inspired by it over the years. Now, the franchise is getting another game by Just Add Water studio and Outright Games called Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure on Switch this autumn.

You will have to fight big animals

We can tell by the name of the game that the main character will be Scrat, a saber-tooth squirrel who is obsessed with an acorn. Throughout the film series, no matter how hard he tried, he always failed to obtain it in the end, making it one of the most entertaining things in the movie.

This game will follow the same path and track Scrat's footsteps on the journey to recover his beloved acorn from the ancient Scratazon Temple.

There will be burning lava

Players will get to go through all the familiar locations in the franchise to collect the legendary Crystal Nuts to get the acorn back while facing fearsome prehistory creatures. There will be special power-ups to make Scrat jump higher and carry heavier objects.

There wasn't much detail about the game yet, apart from that it will be a 3D platformer game, with some in-game screenshots of the environment in the pre-alpha stage, including icy terrains, raging geysers, and burning lava.

The game is about the adventure of the saber-tooth squirrel, Scrat

The CEO of Outright Games said the game will bring players into the "Ice Age world for a whirlwind adventure unlike any other” with "slapstick acrobatics and thrilling in-game obstacles."

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure will launch worldwide not only on Switch but on PC, PS4, Xbox One as well in Fall 2019 in both digital and physical form.
