With the year winding down, PC players still have several major releases ahead. These are the biggest titles landing before 2027, centered on the ones that will dominate the next few months.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

Pc Game 02

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives on October 23, 2026, for PC via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox. The campaign places you in a full-scale invasion of South Korea. You play as Private Park, a young South Korean soldier thrown into trench warfare, close-quarters fights in New York, vehicle chases through Paris, and SAS night raids in Mumbai. Captain Price returns for a more personal storyline that collides with the larger conflict.

Multiplayer launches with 12 new 6v6 maps plus larger Big War maps for vehicle combat. A new mode called Kill Block features dynamic layouts that reconfigure mid-match. Gunplay emphasizes the Ballistic Authority system for tighter aiming, realistic audio, and reduced hipfire bloom. DMZ returns as an extraction mode where you drop into contested zones, complete objectives, and extract under pressure. Digital pre-orders already have campaign access, with full multiplayer and DMZ unlocking at midnight local time on launch day.

Phantom Blade Zero

Pc Game 01

Phantom Blade Zero launches October 29, 2026, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store (October 28 in the US). This single-player wuxia action RPG from S-GAME puts you in control of Soul, an elite assassin framed for murder. You have 66 days to clear your name while fighting through assassins, conspiracies, and boss encounters across eight regions.

Combat focuses on precise martial arts choreography with parries, stance switching, and stylish finishers. There are four difficulty modes ranging from accessible to the extreme 66 Days setting. The campaign runs roughly 20 to 30 hours, with multiple endings and a focus on fluid melee rather than firearms. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it targets solid performance on mid-range hardware, with an SSD required. No Xbox version is available at launch.

Final Fantasy Resonance

Final Fantasy Resonance

Final Fantasy Resonance releases October 22, 2026, on PC via Steam. It is the first HD-2D game in the Final Fantasy series and adapts the first story arc of the mobile title Final Fantasy Brave Exvius into a full standalone RPG. You play as Rain, an airship squadron commander defending the world of Lapis after a crystal is shattered. The story mixes original characters with guest appearances from series icons such as Cloud and Tidus.

Gameplay uses traditional turn-based combat with a modern twist. Fill a stun meter on enemies to open them up for special and combination attacks, then call in Visions of classic Final Fantasy characters for temporary boosts. Exploration includes chocobos, espers, and airships. A free demo covering the first chapter is already available, and its save data transfers to the full game. Length sits around 20 to 30 hours for the main story, with extra content pushing higher. Requirements are modest, making it accessible on lower-end systems.

Path of Exile 2

Pe2 Pathofexile2logo

Path of Exile 2 leaves early access and launches its free-to-play 1.0 version on December 11, 2026, for PC. After nearly two years in early access, the full release completes the campaign with Acts 5 and 6, adds the sword-focused Duelist class, and introduces swords as a new weapon type. Existing early access characters move to a separate league, while the main economy resets for the new launch.

Core gameplay remains the deep action RPG formula: real-time combat, extensive skill gems, item crafting, and endgame systems built around the Atlas. The Duelist emphasizes aggressive melee play with shields and swords. The game stays free to play with optional cosmetic and stash purchases. It launches the same day on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV

Dawn of War IV arrives December 3, 2026, as a PC exclusive on Steam (November 30 for Commander Edition owners). This real-time strategy title returns to the series roots with base building, squad specialization, and large-scale battles. You command four factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus in their series debut. Each has unique units, commanders, and mechanics.

The campaign features over 70 missions with co-op support, written in part by Black Library author John French. Modes include Skirmish, multiplayer, and the returning Last Stand. Gameplay emphasizes classic Dawn of War flow: grow your force, build bases, and execute sync kills in melee. Post-launch plans include free updates such as Crusade mode and a mission editor.

Grand Theft Auto VI

Gta 6 Leonida Keys Boat Party 1

Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC date, though reports point to a possible Q1 2027 release. The game returns to a modernized Vice City setting for an open-world crime story with driving, shooting, and exploration. PC players will wait longer, consistent with Rockstar's past release patterns, but the title remains the year's largest overall release.
