Tokyo Ghoul:re Call To Exist Reveals Its Playable Characters!

Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist is the first video game that takes the dark fantasy settings of the famous anime/manga to come to the West. Previously revealed back in July 2018, this game is the product from the hands of the developer Three Rings.

Bandai Namco will be the one publishing Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist to the West and Japan. And to start soaring the heat up, the publisher has teased some playable characters of the game through the latest trailer. You can see your favorite characters, such as Touka Kirishima, Kaneki Ken and many more in action down here:

If you are not familiar with the Tokyo Ghoul franchise (which is very unlikely), here's the summary of what is happening in this world:

The streets of Tokyo witnessed many fierce battles between the Ghouls and the Investigators, in which they embracing everything they've got to fight for surviving. To be more specific, the Ghouls are the human with supernatural powers and also a burden: they need to eat human's flesh to survive. Certainly, working for the government, the Investigators don't want those dangerous 'creatures' to exist.

Their relationship doesn't allow them to live under the same sky. Hence, the conflicts between them happen every day, and it's even more severe in Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist. Uniting every character in the franchise, including Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re, the game is coming for PS4 and PC soon.

According to Bandai Namco, Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist is a survival action game, in which you'll take control of a character from either side to fights with the others in the battles of life and death. Each character has their own abilities and weapons, which you can take advantage of in the third-person perspective to defeat the enemies and survive.

From the trailer above, we can safely say that the battles will take place in 3D graphics, and it's going to be gorgeous with detailed visuals. Additionally, the game will feature both online and offline mode, which players can choose to dive in freely. In the online mode, players will be put in a 4v4 match, striving to survive.

Release date and supported platforms

Apart from teasing some playable characters in action, Bandai Namco also took this chance to announce the official release date of the game. Specifically, Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist will come out on November 14 in Japan. American and European gamers will have to wait for one more day, as it will reach the West on November 15.
