Among GTA Online's flying vehicles, helicopters are probably the most useful. They are easier to control than warplanes while carrying a bigger number of weapons than small crafts like the Oppressor. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the 10 best attack helicopters in GTA Online 2025.
Table of Contents
1. Akula
The Akula is the fastest attack helicopter in GTA Online. It is a stealth gunship attack helicopter that debuted in the Doomsday Heist update. It's able to go up to 253.07 km/h with amazing speed, armor, and handling.

The most notable feature of the vehicle is its stealth mode, which allows the entire crew to navigate around the map while avoiding enemy radars, making it useful for surprise attacks and getaways. Furthermore, you can fit the Akula with 4 more weapons: a nose-mounted turret, two miniguns, missile pods, and bombs.
2. Annihilator Stealth
The Western Company Annihilator Stealth is a stealth attack/transport helicopter that debuted in GTA Online as part of The Cayo Perico Heist update. The aircraft resembles the stealth prototype of the Black Hawk.
The most notable feature of the vehicle is its stealth mode identical to the Akula, dodging enemies' radar. Weapon-wise, the Annihilator features an array of weapons including machine guns and missiles.

Low durability is the weakness of this vehicle - the Annihilator Stealth is pretty much identical to other civilian helicopters. It requires only a single homing rocket to destroy the vehicle or seven explosive rounds from the Heavy Sniper Mk II.
3. FH-1 Hunter
The Hunter is evidently based on the Boeing AH-64 Apache. It has been featured in the 3D Universe games since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The Hunter is a very nimble aircraft, with superior maneuverability to the Buzzard and its Attack variant. It is also very fast for a helicopter of its size, matching the speed of the Volatus.

The pilot has access to homing missiles that can fire continuously and without reload like the Akula, Savage, or Pyro. The missiles have superior tracking similar to the Homing Launcher, but with a slightly reduced lock-on range.
Additionally, the vehicle has the option for installing bombs, providing heavy firepower against ground targets. There are four different Bomb choices: Explosive, Incendiary, Gas and Cluster
4. Savage
The Savage is a military helicopter gunship featured in GTA Online as part of the Heists Update. When it comes to maneuverability, the Savage, being a large and heavy helicopter can be difficult to control and has slow acceleration. Combined with its relatively low armor, players need to be careful to use the vehicle effectively.

At least it makes up for the clunky control with powerful weapon systems. On the Savage, players can make use of a rapid-fire explosive cannon similar to the P-996 LAZER and the Hydra. Besides cannons, the pilot can also fire homing missiles or unguided rockets.
5. Buzzard Attack Chopper
The Nagasaki Buzzard Attack Chopper (formerly named "Buzzard") is a light attack helicopter featured in multiple GTA games including GTA Online. Designed as a light exploration/attack helicopter, the Buzzard has excellent maneuvrability, able to turn quickly and move with a reasonable top speed.

The Buzzard has with a minigun and a rocket launcher, both are fairly powerful.
6. Havok
The Nagasaki Havok is an ultralight helicopter featured in GTA Online as part of the Smuggler's Run update. The Havok has very nimble handling and good speed thanks to its lightweight, compact design. Its size allows it to fly through tight spaces, being similar to the Buzzard and its Attack variant.

Weapon-wise, it has a three-barreled .50 caliber Minigun beneath the cabin, which offers moderate firepower and a high fire rate, ideal for aerial offensive and self-defensive situations.
7. Valkyrie
The design of the Buckingham Valkyrie is based on a real life Bell UH-1Y Venom/UH-1 Iroquois Huey/212/412, Fenestron. The Valkyrie has an above average speed of 140 knots, making it slower than the Swift, but slightly faster than the Buzzard and the Buzzard Attack Chopper. It is quite maneuverable and is capable of turning quickly, which is useful in aerial engagements when the Valkyrie's port and starboard gunners need to aim.

While the helicopter has good maneuverability, it is still rather large, leaving little room for error while avoiding enemy homing missiles. The vehicle is equipped with port and starboard-mounted Miniguns, as well as a four-barrel gatling gun on the nose.
8. Weaponized Conada
The Buckingham Weaponized Conada is a light attack helicopter featured in GTA Online as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update in 2023. It is an armed variant of the Conada, resembling the MD Helicopters 969 Twin Attack.

It features machine guns with a high fire rate and homing missiles, along with good top speed of 151 mph and handling. However, it lacks strong armor and countermeasures, making it vulnerable to heavy fire.
9. Sparrow
The Sparrow is a utility helicopter added in GTA Online as part of The Cayo Perico Heist update in 2020. It is a compact, single-bladed helicopter based on the Bell 47 and Sikorsky S-300.

It can be equipped with a minigun or homing missiles, boasts a top speed of 168.75 mph, and excellent maneuverability. Its low durability is a drawback, but it's ideal for Kosatka owners due to quick spawning.
10. Sea Sparrow
The Sea Sparrow is an amphibious helicopter featured in GTA Online as part of the Arena War update in 2018. It is based on the Bell 47 for its tail setup and Sikorsky S-300 for the cabin, with pontoons for water landings.

It can be armed with a .50 cal minigun or homing missiles, has a top speed of 153.75 mph, and nimble handling. Pros include water landing capability and upgrades for armor; cons are low base durability and no countermeasures.
