The Pale Garden biome was the best part of Minecraft Live 2024 and got everyone in the Minecraft community excited. When it was first shown, it was just fancy artwork, but soon after, players got to try it out in experimental snapshots. Now, players have lots of ideas about how this garden can develop.

While many ideas have focused on the plants in this garden biome, there’s also a lot of potential for buildings. The Pale Garden is usually next to dark oak forests, where players can already find woodland mansions. This gives a hint about what players might discover in this quiet and mysterious area. Since it’s called a "garden" and has a spooky vibe, fans have suggested 5 possible structures that could fit in this new location. Here’s what they hope to see.

1. Garden Walls

No eerie, haunted garden would feel right without crumbling walls around it. Because the Pale Garden sits next to dark oak forests without any special touches, having some boundaries would make it stand out more from the typical Minecraft forests.

Even though garden walls aren’t really buildings, they could provide opportunities for finding loot, like the new suspicious gravel blocks that might hide seeds or tools. Adding these walls would also create a clear boundary for the biome, which is something new for the game apart from natural borders. This would help establish a sense that entering the Pale Garden might not be a good idea, matching its spooky vibe.

2. Abandoned Campfire

To enhance the spooky feeling without going too deep into horror, some subtle touches could really add to the atmosphere. For example, a campfire setup with two logs for sitting could be interesting. The fire would still be burning, but there would be no one around who started it.

With ashes and smoke rising from the deserted campfire, the glowing eyes of the Creaking just beyond the firelight would make for a chilling sight. Picture wandering through a single-player world and spotting smoke from a campfire you definitely didn’t make. The dark oak logs could hint at the illagers' explorative side and explain their fear of the Creaking. Perhaps it became a spooky tale around the campfire.

3. Gazebo

Along with the stone garden ruins, a gazebo ruin could enhance the "garden" feel of the biome and highlight the wood types found there. The new white pale oak wood is quite striking, so having a structure made from it in the Pale Garden would showcase these new blocks and contribute to the quiet, abandoned atmosphere of the area.

Since any structure can have loot, the gazebo could feature a chest filled with different plants, hoes, seeds, or other garden-related items. It might also hold things connected to the Creaking, like the Creaking Heart

4. Garden Ruin

The Pale Garden is referred to as a "garden," unlike the typical forest names. This choice of words suggests that there’s an element of gardening and cultivated plants. While the biome doesn’t have much floral variety beyond the new pale moss blocks and pale oak trees, the concept of garden ruins would be a great addition to this space.

Possible structures for garden ruins might feature flower boxes, greenhouses, fountains, and more. Players would really enjoy seeing evidence that this biome is a garden. Referring to it as a "garden" hints at a backstory for the area, and having remnants of that past would help illustrate this concept.

5. Witch Circle

A small detail revealed about the Creaking mob in the latest snapshot shows that illagers will run away from this haunting tree puppet, similar to how creepers avoid cats and spiders steer clear of armadillos. However, witches are not included in this group, even though there were many chances for Mojang to make them part of it. Since the command-only illusioner is included, this seems to be a deliberate choice. When the new biome arrives, it’s possible that witches could embrace the unique magic of the Pale Garden.

Right now, the only structure linked to witches is their hut in swamp biomes. A structure that better reflects the witchcraft aspect of these mobs could fit perfectly in this eerie location. A Witch Circle could even make it possible for witches to become neutral mobs, allowing players to swap them for new resources.
