Genshin Impact 3.5's Spiral Abyss enemy lineup has just been reset, with a number of new enemies getting added to the floors. The final chamber's boss Setekh Wenut is probably the biggest issue so far, as it continuously moves underground to waste players' time.
While defeating the Wenut in the overworld is not that has, F2P players with a less-than-optimal lineup might run out of time in Spiral Abyss.
Therefore, in this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 5 best tips and tricks to beat the Setekh Wenut in Spiral Abyss.
1. About the Setekh Wenut
Attacks and movement pattern
The Abyss Setekh Wenut has a fixed movement pattern. At the beginning of the battle, it will appear at the center and either move horizontally or vertically for a short period of time. Players need to study to predict its movement to avoid wasting time and stamina. This can be crucial for characters like Hu Tao and Ayaka.
Attack-wise, the Abyss Wenut loses a couple of the more vulnerable attacks of its normal counterpart. Here are some of its most notable moves:
- Spawn a barrage of Anemo projectiles, attack with a massive Anemo laser
- Burrow underground to come back up and deal AoE damage
- Go back and forth underground.
Some combination of this will happen four times before it begins floating. Once it does, players will need to attack it and the orbs it generates with Cryo, Electro, Pyro, or Hydro in order to bring it down. It is worth noting that the Setekh Wenut will lose resistance to whatever element took down the orbs while it was floating.
Setekh Wenut (Spiral Abyss) Stats
The Spiral Abyss Setekh Wenut is incredibly tanky with nearly 2 million HP. However, the worst part about this boss is its resistances. While the regular Setekh Wenut has 60% resistance to Anemo and 25% resistance to everything else, the Abyss Setekh Wenut gets a massive boost: 90% resistance to Anemo and 55% resistance to everything else.
2. Bring Cryo, Electro, Pyro, or Hydro characters
Players need at least a DPS unit of Cryo/Electro/Pyro/Hydro element to defeat the Setekh Wenut. Anemo DPS like Wanderer or Xiao would be useless, but most top teams including Raiden or Childe should perform well here. Just get some of the top tier 4-star support into your party (Xiangling/Xingqiu/Bennett) and you would have enough damage.
3. Use Bow DPS or support to hit the Anemo orbs
The Setekh Wenut will summon a number of Anemo orbs around its body when it enters the floating state. Players can attack these orbs with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro elements to bring the worm down. Doing so will momentarily stun it, opening a short window of opportunity to deal as much damage as possible.
This is why having a bow unit in the party is ideal, as players could manually aim and hit the Anemo orb to save a lot of time. Additionally, depending on the element players used to stun the boss, its resistance to that particular elemental will also decrease during its stunned state.
Bow DPS characters like Yoimiya, Yelan, Tartaglia and Ganyu should be able to take advantage of this weakness.
4. Choose a team with good Burst DPS
Since there will not be many opportunities to deal damage to the boss due to its movement pattern, players need to form a party with good Burst damage that can unleash their DPS immediately after the boss is stunned.
Overall, teams involving Raiden National are the best, as it involves the team members spamming Burst in sync with Raiden. Players will need a bow user with the same element as the DPS character to take advantage of the stun mechanic.
An International Team can work in Genshin Impact 3.5's Spiral Abyss. The main difference here is that Kazuha and another 5-star character are slotted in with Bennett and Xiangling. National is a budget option by comparison, making it more accessible for the average gamer.
5. Attack whenever possible
As previously mentioned, Setekh Wenut constantly dives underground and only occasionally shows itself, which makes players waste a lot of time. However, running around hitting it every time it surfaces is highly recommended.
Unlike some enemies in the game, the Wenut boss has a lot of HP and does not have an invincibility phase. Therefore, players need to attack it as often as possible. The small amount of damage over time would stack up, reducing the time wasted. However, players should always save their most damaging combo for when the Wenut is in its paralyzed state.
