Diona is a 4-star Cryo Bow user in Genshin Impact. She is one of the best Cryo support in the game and is ranked on top of the tier list. In this article, we are going to showcase a complete guide for Diona Genshin Impact, including character profile, gameplay and best builds.

1 - Genshin Impact Diona Profile

Diona is the popular bartender of the Cat's Tail tavern in Mondstadt. She is blessed with magic that makes all the drinks she mixes taste good, however, Diona can't drink any alcohol herself.

Appearance-wise, Diona is a small young girl with short pink hair and fair skin. Part of her hair is pulled into a stiff pigtail at the front of her head. Diona also has cat ears, eyes and tail. Her cat traits are similar to calico cats.

2 - Diona Genshin Impact Abilities

Diona Genshin Impact Tier List: Diona is already S tier at C0. After reaching C6, she becomes an SS tier.

Normal attack: Kätzlein Style

• Normal Attack: Perform up to 5 consecutive shots with a bow.
• Charged Attack: Charge a shot to deal increased damage. A fully charged frost arrow will deal Cryo Damage.
• Plunging Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG on impact.

Elemental Skill: Icy Paws

Fires an Icy Paw that deals Cryo DMG and generates a shield on the character. The shield has a 250% Cryo DMG Absorption bonus and infuses Diona with Cryo for a short duration. Shield's DMG Absorption scales on Diona's Max HP. Shield duration scales on the number of Icy Paws that hit the target.

There are two firing modes for this skill:

• Press: Shoots 2 Icy Paws immediately.
• Hold: Briefly dashes back then fires 5 Icy Paws. The shield created by this attack is more powerful, gaining a 75% DMG Absorption Bonus.

Elemental Burst: Signature Mix

Tosses out a special cold brew that deals AoE Cryo DMG and creates a Drunken Mist in an AoE. The Mist lasts for 12 seconds and deals extra Cryo DMG every 2 seconds to enemies within its AoE. Furthermore, it also heals allies

Diona is a very versatile support with both shield, heal and damage.

• 1st Ascension Passive: Cat's Tail Secret Menu

Characters shielded by Icy Paws gain 10% extra Movement SPD and 10% Stamina Consumption reduction.

• 4th Ascension Passive: Drunkards' Farce

Decrease the attack of enemies that come into contact with Signature Mix by 10% for 15s.

• Utility Passive: Complimentary Bar Food

When a Perfect Cooking is achieved on a dish with restorative effects, Diona has a 12% chance to obtain double the product.

4 - Diona Genshin Impact Constellation

While Diona is already strong at C0, her full power can be unlocked at C6. This is not too hard a feat, as she is just a 4-stars. C2 allows her to shield others in Co-op.

• A Lingering Flavor: Regenerates 15 Energy for Diona after the effects of Signature Mix end.
• Shaken, Not Purred: Increases Icy Paws' DMG and shield's DMG Absorption by 15%. Furthermore, upon Icy Paws hit, creates shields with 50% efficiency for nearby characters on the field for 5s.
• A-Another Round?: Increases the Level of Signature Mix by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
• Wine Industry Slayer: Reduce Diona's charge time for aimed shots by 60% within Signature Mix's radius.
• Double Shot, On The Rocks: Increases the Level of Icy Paws by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
• Cat's Tail Closing Time: All characters in Signature Mix's AoE gain 200 bonus Elemental Mastery when above 50% HP. This bonus switches to a 30% healing bonus increase if their HP falls below or equal to 50%.

5 - Diona Genshin Impact Gameplay & Best Build

Diona can do a lot of things, from healing to shielding/buffing to dealing additional Cryo damage. The best part is that the effect applies to all other players in co-op. Because of this, Diona's best build is Heal + Shield support.

As her build revolves around having a lot of HP, she doesn't usually die. Diona can fit in pretty much all team comp.

Diona's weapon is actually the least important part of her build. Because of this, you don't even need any 5-star bows - just the Sacrificial Bow is enough. After Diana using Icy Paws, the bow allows her to refresh it with additional follow-up shots... which allows her to stack even more shields duration. The Favonius Bow is a decent alternative.

The best artifact for Diona is the Noblesse Oblige 4-Piece Set. It gives her Burst more damage and an effect that buff teammates with +20% ATK. You can substitute that for the Tenacity of the Millelith 2-piece set and the Maiden Beloved 2-piece set.

Premium Team: Diona + Diluc + Venti + Yanfei

• Diona is off-field support that spread Cryo, heal and shield with Elemental Skill and Burst.
• Diluc is the main DPS that can combo with Diona's Cry to proc Melt.
• Venti can group enemies and combo with Diona for swirl Cryo.
• Yanfei allows you to put a bit of distance between enemies while your skills are on cooldown. Furthermore, she also provides Diluc with Pyro resonance.

F2P Team: Diona + Lisa + Amber + Xiangling

• Diona is off-field support that spread Cryo, heal and shield with Elemental Skill and Burst.
• Xiangling is the main DPS for Phys and Pyro DMG.
• Amber can crowd control with her skill and provide Xiangling with Pyro Resonance.
• Lisa can easily cause beneficial elemental reactions like Overcharged or Superconduct. Her Elemental Burst also provides ATK down, which can be useful.
