Ganyu is a Cryo Bow character in Genshin Impact. Overall, she is one of the three best Cryo DPS, with the ability to deliver rapid Cryo shots with high crit. One of the earliest characters released in Genshin, her kit is pretty well designed, with high base crit damage, multiple AoE skills and the ability to support other Cryo characters in the team.

Ganyu can shine in Freeze and Melt teams where her Cryo application plays a major role in trigger reactions. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the best Ganyu team comps for Genshin Impact 3.0.

Ganyu Build
Ganyu is one of the few characters with level 2 charged shot.

1. Ganyu Melt Team

  • Ganyu + Xiangling + Bennett + Kazuha

This is the standard Ganyu Melt team that anyone should be able to do. The team provides incredible reaction damage through reverse melt between Ganyu's Charged attack and Xiangling's Pyro application.

Genshin Impact Xiangling
Xiangling and Bennett are the best support duo for Ganyu melt.

Kazuha is the best addition to all reaction lineups that focus on damage. His passive boost the whole team's damage while the venerer set reduces enemies' elemental res.

Bennett is there to provide pyro resonance, heal, and atk boost. As Xiangling's burst requires players to get close and personal, replacing Kazuha with a shielder like Zhongli can be a good idea. This is to protect you from getting interrupted while fighting up close to enemies.

Alternative choices:

Players can slot in Thoma to use as a shield bot and still keep the pyro resonance.

2. Ganyu Freeze Team

  • Ganyu + Diona + Mona + Kokomi

The Ganyu Freeze team, typically called Morgana, focuses on freezing enemies by having an off-field Hydro unit applying Hydro on enemies. There are a lot of variant players can add to this team - the only cores needed are Ganyu + 1 off-field Hydro enabler. Ganyu can inflict constant Cryo Damage through all her attacks. Diona is there to provide Cryo resonance and shield, preventing Ganyu from getting interrupted. Shield is not as important in this comp, as the freeze reaction prevents the mob from hitting the player.

Diona Icy Paws
Diona can be really useful as she provides both shield and Cryo support.

Kokomi is a great off-field healer that can also be a sub-DPS during her Elemental Burst. Mona will further increase the damage produced to frozen enemies.

Alternative choices:

Shenhe can serve as the cryo support for Ganyu to boost her damage output exponentially. Players can run either Xingqiu or Yelan as the Hydro enabler, with Yelan's damage passive making her the better option. Kazuha and Zhongli can also be good additions with their utility (res shred).

3. Ganyu Bloom Freeze Team

  • Ganyu + Kokomi + Kuki Shinobu + Dendro Traveler

Due to the lack of a reaction between Cryo and Dendro, people have been splashing Cryo characters into Bloom teams. A sub DPS Cryo freezes the enemies in place so that the Dendro cores can explode. Players can then apply a bit of Electro on the cores to trigger Hyperbloom for even more damage.

Dendro Element
The fact that Cryo does not work with Dendro actually give it a bit of an advantage.

Players can run Kokomi and 1 Dendro core (Tighnari/Collei/Traveler) to trigger bloom. If Tighnari is your main DPS, Ganyu would be the sub DPS. Kokomi can be replaced with Xingqiu and Yelan, just like previous parts of the comp. While these characters have better damage, Kokomi's healing can be valuable.

Alternative choices:

Kuki Shinobu can be replaced by Fischl or Dori - the former has more damage while the latter can regenerate energy for the whole team. Dori can also trigger Hyperbloom more reliably, as players can manually control her Electro application.

4. Ganyu Freeze Team Sub-DPS

  • Ayaka + Ganyu + Mona + Venti

As Ganyu has Cryo boost, players can definitely run her as a Sub-DPS and buffer for other Cryo units. Similar to Ganyu's Main-DPS freeze team, this team also focuses on freezing enemies while dealing high damage.

Kamisato Ayaka
If players already have a better Cryo character, Ganyu can definitely fill in the support position.

Again, Mona can be replaced by Kokomi for more healing. Players can also replace Venti with Kazuha or Sucrose.

Alternative choices:

Ganyu can also work in an Eula shatter/superconduct comp, as Eula's physical damage can shatter the freeze enemies to deal extra damage.

5. Ganyu f2p friendly Team

  • Ganyu + Xiangling + Diona + Sucrose

If you are a new player and don't have many choices in lineups, this basic team might be your best bet. Diona can form an Elemental resonance with Ganyu while Xiangling can inflict Pyro for Melt reaction. Sucrose can increase damage from Ganyu's Melt with her Elemental Mastery Support and Res Shred.

Sucrose Burst
Sucrose can be surprisingly effective in supporting reaction based team comps.
