Albedo is one of the most universal sub-DPS/support characters in Genshin Impact, with the ability to fit into pretty much every team. He has low field time requirements, does not interrupt reactions, buffs the whole team's EM, and can use a 3-star weapon without any damage issues. However, because of this versatility, Albedo is often skipped as players tend to pick more specialized characters.
In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase a complete guide for Albedo in Genshin Impact 3.4, including talents, gears and team comps.
1. Albedo Talents Priority & Constellations
Skill > Burst > Normal Attacks (should not be leveled)
Elemental Skill | Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma
Places a flower, which deals Geo damage in a minor AoE. Afterward, every time an enemy takes damage, the flower creates a Transient Bloom and deals additional Geo damage scaling off of Defense.
This is the bread and butter of the most common Albedo playstyle. Requires close to zero field time, with a long duration and 100% uptime. Its low aura application is unable to remove most auras alone, and so does not interfere with reactions. Has good damage, with AOE big enough to hit multiple enemies.
Elemental Burst | Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide
Albedo summons Geo crystals as an initial hit, damaging enemies. Additionally, if his Burst is performed within the range of a flower, Fatal Blossoms are created, damaging nearby enemies.
This skill has a high motion value, which means that it scales incredibly well with ATK buffs. It also has quadratic scaling, which means that the more enemies that are clustered, the more total damage that Albedo deals.
Passive 1: Transient Blossoms generated by Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma deal 25% more DMG to opponents whose HP is below 50%. Good damage boost but low uptime.
Passive 2: Using Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide increases the Elemental Mastery of nearby party members by 125 for 10s. Useful if players don't have more powerful Anemo options like Kazuha or Sucrose.
Constellations
- C1: Increase Albedo's ER, which is useful when you run him as a solo-geo in the team.
- C2: Boost the damage of his Burst and give it DEF scaling.
- C3: This is an upgrade to Albedo’s main damage source. This is a good Constellation, and it’s recommended to stop here.
- C4: Useless on Albedo, and even Xiao can't use it effectively.
- C5: This is a much more niche con than C3 as his Burst is not that great.
- C6: This Constellation is only beneficial for the on-field carry of the team, and thus has very little applications in effect.
2. Albedo Best Weapon & Artifacts
It is recommended to level Albedo to 90 as an investment priority as he mainly scales off his DEF and is much more dependent on his base stats.
Best Artifact set
4pc Set Husk of Opulent Dreams is Albedo's best damage set by a large margin.
Mainstat Priorities: DEF Sands, Geo DMG% Bonus Goblet, CRIT Rate/ CRIT Damage Circlet
Best Weapon
- Cinnabar Spindle R5: In single target, the best sword bar none. Even in large enemy counts, where this weapon would be at a disadvantage, it is merely equal to Harbinger in total damage, without the crippling downside of requiring 90% HP.
- Harbinger of Dawn: Cheap and effective. Just don't get hit otherwise you would lose its passive.
- Primordial Jade Cutter: A decent option, however, it doesn’t perform as well as Cinnabar, and is only marginally better than HoD.
3. Albedo Best Team Comps
Double Geo Flex Albedo
- Albedo + Geo + 2 Flex
This comp plays to Albedo’s strengths, having strong off-field damage while allowing the carries to monopolize field time. If players already use a Geo character on their team such as Yun Jin or Zhongli, adding Albedo to the last slot might be a good idea. He enables good off-field DPS and Geo resonance, alongside an extra EM boost from his Burst.
This comp works especially well with Hu Tao or Xiao, but is also really effective with carries that are relatively self-reliant or only need one strict pair, and particularly carries who appreciate using Zhongli.
Geo Quickswap
- Albedo + Ningguang + 2 Flex
A comp that minimizes rotation duration to maximize damage. Due to the nature of Geo characters and their tendency to have Bursts with low cooldowns, it is ideal to run rotations with short durations. Overall this work similar to the above double Geo team, but the two flex characters also need to have low Burst cooldown.
This comp works well with Bennett, Fischl and Sara.
Albedo Itto Pure Geo team
- Itto + Albedo + Gorou + Zhongli
In this comp, Itto is the main DPS supported by Albedo's damage. Zhongli serves as the shielder and Gorou is the main support.
Gorou has the most important role in this lineup, providing both Albedo and Itto with DEF bonus and Geo DMG bonus (especially with C6). When equipped with Archaic Petra, Gorou's picking crystal can give the team a whopping 35% Geo DMG bonus.
Albedo mainly deals damage off-field with his burst while Itto spams his continuous charge attack on the field to deal damage. Zhongli's occasionally provides burst and shield when needed - just equip him with the Tenacity of the Millelith set for the bonus damage. Overall, this Itto lineup is probably the best Albedo team build.
