Mika is the new 4-star Cryo polearm support character in Genshin Impact 3.5. He is a member of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company and always diligently fulfills all the duties that come his way.

Gameplay wise, Mika is pretty unique: he uses 2 weapons - a crossbow and spear. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase everything you need to know about Mika, including his talents, gears and team comps.

1. Mika Talents Priority & Ability Overview

Skill > Burst, ignore NA

As Mika's support ability is mainly based on his Skill and Burst, it is best to max them first and ignore his NA talent. His skill is more valuable as it provides 21% attack speed at level 9.

Normal Attack: Spear of Favonius - Point Passage

Just a standard set of spear NA.

Elemental Skill: Starfrost Swirl

Mika Talent Materials
Elemental Skill: Starfrost Swirl

Attack once with his crossbow, buffing the attack speed of the characters in the party by 13 - 25%. Has tap and hold mode.

  • Tap: Fires a frost arrow that can pierce multiple targets.
  • Hold: Fire an AoE frost bomb.

ATK SPD Bonus: 13 - 25%. Soulwind duration 12s. Cooldown 15s.

Elemental Burst: Skyfeather Song

Mika's Burst heals all characters in the team and give the team a buff that regenerate HP every time a character with the buff perform a normal attack.

Duration 15, Interval CD 2.5s, Cost 70, Burst CD 18s.

Passive Skills

Mika Thumbnail
Mika can give a character 50% extra Phys damage and 60% Phys Crit

Ascension stat: HP%

  • P1. Rapid-Fire Suppression: Mika's skill will give the teams 1 Detector stack for each enemy it hits. Each stack increase their Physical DMG by 10%. The maximum number of stack is 3.
  • P2. Geomorphological Mapping: When a character affected by both his Skill and Burst score a CRIT, gain 1 Detector stack. Increases max stack to 4.
  • P3. Demarcation: Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Mondstadt on the mini-map.

Constellations

  • C1. Contingency Factor: The Soulwind state of Starfrost Swirl can decrease the healing interval between instances caused by Skyfeather Songs Eagleplume state. This decrease percentage is equal to the ATK SPD increase provided by Soulwind.
  • C2. Chaperone's Ingress: When Starfrost Swirls Flowfrost Arrow first hits an opponent, or its Rimestar Flare hits opponents, 1 Detector stack from Passive Talent "Rapid-Fire Suppression" will be generated. You must have unlocked the Passive Talent "Rapid-Fire Suppression" first.
  • C3. Reconnaissance Veteran: Increases the Q Level.
  • C4. Sunfrost Encomium: When Mika's own Skyfeather Song’s Eagleplume state heal other party members, this will restore 3 Energy to Mika. This form of Energy restoration can occur 5 times during the Eagleplume state created by 1 use of Skyfeather Song.
  • C5. Signal Arrow: Increases the E Level.
  • C6. Companion's Counsel: The maximum number of Detector stacks that Starfrost Swirl's Soulwind can gain is increased by 1. You need to have unlocked the Passive Talent "Rapid-Fire Suppression" first. Additionally, characters affected by Soulwind will deal 60% more Physical CRIT DMG.

Overall Mika's constellations are fairly average, with C2 being  the best F2p tier. His C6 is of course an absolutely crazy buff, with a gigantic 60% Phys Crit DMG boost.

2. Mika Best Weapon and Artifact

Best Weapon

As a 4-star off-field support, Mika only need to stack enough ER for the most part. Therefore, players can just get the Favonius Lance on him. Its Energy Recharge is amazing, and its effect could generate Energy Particles for the team if the user has a good CRIT Rate.

The Favonius series is the go-to choice for most supports.

The Engulfing Lightning is the best 5 star weapon for him, but it is better used on a DPS character.

Alternatives:

  • Prototype Starglitter: Craftable 4-star Polearm that gives the user Energy Recharge with a situational effect.
  • The Catch: Another craftable 4-star that gives the user Energy Recharge. Unfortunately, the passive is useless on Mika.
  • Staff of Homa: Good HP boost and can work in a meme Mika DPS build.
  • Skyward Spine: Good Energy Recharge stat
  • Black Tassel: HP stat is good for boosting Mika's healing, as his Burst scales based on HP%.

Best Artifacts and Substat

With Mika being yet another Support character who scales on HP, the best stats for him are ER%, HP% and HP. Some Crit Rate might be nice if you are using Favonius. The best artifacts sets for him are:

  • 4-piece Noblesse Oblige: The classic support set that any players probably already have.
  • 2-piece Emblem of Severed Fate and 2-piece Tenacity of the Millelith: Extra ER and HP.
  • 4-piece Ocean-Hued Clam: Extra healing from Burst, with situational damage.

3. Mika team comps in Genshin Impact 3.5

Eula Support

Mika is pretty much the new premier support for Eula. His whole skill set is designed around healing (which Eula needs), and Physical damage bonus (which for now benefits only Eula). The attack speed buff from his Skill is also fairly usable for Eula as well. His Cryo element also allow him to battery Eula and give her Elemental Resonance.

Eula May Come Back After Update 3 5
Eula is pretty much the only character benefit from Mika's boost.

A Mika + Eula team will look like this:

Eula + Mika + Electro (superconduct enabler) + Flex

Superconduct

Fischl Genshin
Fischl
  • Fischl applies a consistent, long-existing Superconduct with minimal field time.
  • Raiden buffs Eula's Burst damage and Energy Regeneration. Also has very high on-field damage.
  • Beidou has great off-field damage than Fischl but requires more investment and skill. Players usually need to run another Electro battery for her.
  • Kuki Shinobu is a sidegrade to Fischl, with good defensive ability but lower damage.
  • Lisa is actually not that bad as Eula's support, as she has DEF shred.
  • Yae is an upgrade to Beidou in a Eula team. And similar to Beidou, she will also need a battery as her Burst has a very high cost.
  • Dori is a decent character to support Eula, with on-demand Superconduct applications, healing and flat energy regeneration. However, her damage is rather low.

Flex slot

Zhongli Is An Ideal Choice In Update 3 0
Zhongli
  • Bennett is the universal support whose ability can definitely benefit Eula.
  • Xinyan can be pretty good with her Physical DMG boost and C4's Physical Shred.
  • Zhongli is another universal support that Eula team can use. His shield provides excellent protection for a melee fragile character like Eula, while his Res Shred increases Eula's damage.
  • Albedo is yet another unintrusive off-field DPS that just works.
  • Yelan's A4 gives a huge DMG% buff that synergizes with Eula’s backloaded damage.
