Nilou is a 5-star Hydro Sword Character in Genshin Impact. She is going to debut in the 3.1 version of Genshin Impact, where the desert portion of Sumeru is unlocked. Overall, Nilou is a Hydro sword-user who can play both DPS and support roles on Bloom teams specifically, thanks to her unique Skill that allows for varying playstyles.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase how to farm materials for Genshin Impact Nilou. By pre-farming her mats, players would be able to use Nilou right away after getting her from the gacha.

Varunada Lazurite

Varunada Lazurites are gemstones of varying quality used in the ascension of characters.

Hydro ascension materials in Genshin Impact

Players can get them by doing the following:

  • Beat the following Normal Bosses: Aeonblight Drake, Hydro Hypostasis, Primo Geovishap, Rhodeia of Loch
  • Beat the following Weekly Bosses: Beneath the Dragon-Queller, Confront Stormterror, Enter the Golden House
  • Alternatively, players can also get them from either Souvenir Shop or Alchemy

Perpetual Caliber

Players can get 1-3 Perpetual Caliber from defeating the Aeonblight Drake, a Normal Boss challenge found in Ardravi Valley, Sumeru.

Players will need x46 Perpetual Caliber for Lv. 90 Nilou, which requires quite a few runs.

Padisarah

Padisarahs grow around the plots of Pardis Dhyai, The Palace of Alcazarzaray, and Sumeru City, as well as the area around Vanarana with a few ones near Vissudha Field.

Additionally, Dana in Pardis Dhyai gives 4 Padisarahs after following a certain dialogue branch for the first time. Jut, an NPC in the Grand Bazaar in Sumeru City, also sells 5 Padisarah with a 3-days refresh.

Fungai Spores

Players can find a lot of fungi in Sumeru's rainforest areas, especially near cliffs, trees and water bodies. These enemies drop two types of common materials when defeated, Fungal Spores and Fungal Cores. Prepare to farm this material a lot, as the Dendro Archon needs ton of them for both ascension and talent.

Which talents should you level on Nilou?

It is highly recommended to get Nilou to level 90 to boost her base HP pool as high as possible, as well as to enable her Blooms to have the highest possible level scaling for base damage. Players should focus on Nilou's skill - her Burst can be neglected entirely and her Normal Attacks are the only talents that use her ATK stat.

Genshin Impact Nilou
Nilou is actually a pretty easy-to-build character - players don't even need all her materials.

Literally every part of Nilou's kit scales based on her MAX HP. Therefore, building artifacts for her is pretty straightforward - players only need to stack as many HP% bonus pieces as possible, which makes farming easier.

In general the best option is 2-PC Tenacity of the Milleleth for the 20 HP%, with any of the following 2-sets: 2-PC Gilded Dreams, 2-PC Heart of Depth, 2-PC Noblesse. 4-PC Deepwood Memories is also an option for the Dendro RES Shred.
