1. Yae Miko Genshin Impact Overview

Yae Miko is the head shrine maiden in charge of Grand Narukami Shrine and the owner of the Yae Publishing House. She is the best friend of Raiden Shogun.

Strengths

  • Quick Elemental Skill cooldown.
  • Charged Attacks deal AoE Electro DMG.
  • Elemental Skill can be used to dodge enemies. Turrets have long targeting range.
  • Elemental Burst deals high AoE Electro DMG.

Weaknesses

  • Elemental Burst has a high energy cost.
  • Needs all Turrets active to fully utilize her Burst's DMG.
  • Turrets need careful placement as they sometimes hit objects and animals. Can't place more than three turrets in Co-Op.
  • Weak Normal Attack DMG and long wind-up on her Charged Attacks.

2. Yae Miko Constellations and Talent Priority

Constellations

Yae Miko Constellations Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact Yae Miko Build Constellations

Similar to other 5 star characters, Yae Miko's constellations are extremely powerful. However, with the low pull rate, it is highly unlikely that players would ever get more than C1 or C2. Coincidentally, Yae's best constellations are C1 and C2:

  • C1: Each time Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin activates a Sky Kitsune Thunderbolt, Yae Miko will restore 8 Elemental Energy for herself.
  • C2: Sesshou Sakura start at Level 2 when created, their max level is increased by 4, and their attack range is increased by 60%.

Overall, C1 lessens the burden for ER% substats and allows you to use ATK% sands or EM sands. If three Sesshou Sakura's were created before using Elemental Burst, its energy cost can be reduced to 66. C2 increases the damage and range of Yae's turrets massively and is a good stopping point for light (and lucky) spenders.

Talent Priority

Overall, with Yae's main role being Sub-DPS, players should max her Skill and Burst first. Her attack talent has very low priority and can even be skipped altogether. However, if players plan on maining Yae, maxing all three is recommended.

3. How to use Yae Miko effectively?

Recommended Rotation For Yae Miko

  • Use Elemental skill three times then switch to other members.
  • Set up for Yae's burst by generating energy and gathering enemies with CC characters.
  • Finish with Yae's Burst, then repeat the first step.

Yae Miko's main source of damage is her Elemental Skill, which periodically deals Electro DMG on her enemies. It also has a short cooldown and a 100% uptime. After deploying her turrets, it's best to switch to other characters to mix Elemental Reactions.

Spam all three totems before firing her Burst

Using Yae Miko's Elemental Burst while there are electro totems available would increase the number of lightning that will shoot down from the sky, dealing more DMG to enemies. The Overload reaction maximizes the burst damage that her Elemental Skill and Burst can do.

4. Best Genshin Impact Yae Miko build

Overall, Yae can work as a Burst Support or a Charged Attack main DPS.

5. What are the best teams for Yae Miko?

Yae Miko can work as either a Main DPS or a Sub-DPS, though she does need another Electro character on her to be able to Burst continuously. Currently, she's great for Taser comps and is a viable Superconduct Support character.

Yae Miko Taser Team

  • Yae Miko + Raiden Shogun + Kokomi + Sucrose

Yae Miko is the Main DPS in the team, constantly staying on the field to deal Electro Damage with her attacks. Players should leave her totems on the field before switching out.

Raiden works very well with Yae, allowing her to continuously dish out Electro damage. She can also regenerate energy for Yae's Burst.

Raiden
Raiden Shogun is the best teammate to maximize the power of Yae Miko.

Kokomi is a great Hydro enabler, allowing Yae and Raiden to proc Electro-Charged repeatedly. Sucrose offers additional Elemental Mastery to the team with her Skill. She can also swirl Hydro in the event Kokomi's skill is cooldown and her Burst can also trap smaller mobs within it. Lastly, she can also use the Venerer set to reduce Electro Res of enemies.

Players can also substitute Sucrose with Kazuha and Kokomi with Mona or Xingqiu. Kujou Sara can also be part of this team, however, you need a lot of investment on her to be effective.

Yae Miko F2P team

  • Yae Miko + Xingqiu + Fischl + Sucrose

This team more or less works the same way as the previous team, with Yae being the main DPS. Fischl would serve as Yae's battery, providing Electro particles with her abilities.

Fischl Genshin
Players need at least one other Electro character to support Yae mains.

Xingqiu and Sucrose serve the same role as the previous team, however, Xingqiu can only apply Hydro on one enemy instead of multiple. However, players can swirl Hydro with Sucrose to apply them to all enemies.
