Windwheel Aster is the essential ingredient to craft Wind Catcher potion or Ascend some of the characters in Genshin Impact. Though this may be a common flower, farming a bunch of them for your purposes may seem like a daunting task. So, here we are to guide you on the top locations to farm Windwheel Aster in Genshin Impact.
Note: Before we start, please notice that Windwheel Aster is a local specialty of Mondstadt. It means the flower is exclusive to this region only. You cannot find it anywhere else.
Location 1: Dawn Winery Statue of the Seven
There are at least 9 Windwheel Asters spawning around the Statue of the Seven. They form a cluster so it won't take long to pick them all up.
Location 2: Windrise Statue of the Seven
You can find 14 Windwheel Aster in Genshin Impact or more under the Statue of the Seven at Windrise.
Location 3: Falcon Coast
Head East of the Statue of the Seven at Windrise, there are 4 Windwheel Asters waiting for you.
Location 4: East of Stormterror's Lair
Next to the teleport waypoint, to the east of Stormterror's Lair, you will find 5 Windwheel Asters near one of the wind currents.
Location 5: North of Stormterror's Lair
To find the flower here, you must venture to the Northern teleport waypoint in Stormterror's Lair. From there, move towards the East. You will find three clusters, offering a total of 10 Windwheel Asters.
Location 6: West of Stormterror's Lair
This is the best location to farm Windwheel Asters in Genshin Impact. The entire Western part of Stormterror's Lair contains 18 flowers. However, they spread out a lot so picking them all will cost a little more time.
Location 7: Entrance of Stormterror's Lair
Right below the Stormterror's Lair lies three Windwheel Aster in Genshin Impact. To get there, you need to teleport to the central waypoint and move down South.
Location 8: Flora in Mondstadt City
If you don't feel like picking the flower yourself, find Flora. She's an NPC in Mondstadt City, right at the main gate. Flora sells various types of flowers, including Windwheel Aster. You can purchase a maximum of 5 Windwheel Asters from her for 1000 Mora each.
Location 9: Chunshui in Liyue Harbor
If you want to obtain some flowers for free, pay Chunshui a visit. She's an NPC standing at the Northern Wharf of Liyue Harbor. Just have a small conversation with her and you will earn 5 easiest Windwheel Asters in the game.
For your information, Windwheel Asters do respawn after being picked up. They will grow back every two days. So, if you're short on the flower, be sure to check these locations every two days. Also, merchant NPCs (such as Flora) restock their inventory every three days. However, one-time quest NPCs (such as Chinshui) will only reward you once.
