Veritas is an upcoming first-person psychological/puzzle game in which you begin in a shady small room with no idea how you got there. All you can recall is that you consented to participate in a study carried out by a company named Veritas Industries. You'll be able to find the answer on February 12th, 2020 when the game launches for both Android and iOS. Check out its trailer below:
Veritas is a story-driven experience that tasks you with solving various puzzles to uncover the secrets of the facility you are trapped in and eventually find a way to escape. The developer aims to deliver an intriguing message about self-identity with this premise.
This idea comes from the argument that an individual is just a product of his/her memories, so Veritas asks the question: Who would you be without them? It seems like things will get very existential here, which makes this a very unique title. We are interested to see how it turns out.
As for the puzzles themselves, from the trailer, it seems they will come in many shapes and forms. You might be asked to line up several pictures, navigate through a maze, match up a series of clues, and more.
You won’t have to remember everything, thankfully, as the game provides you with a Glitch Camera with which you can manually keep track of things. With this, you can take pictures at any given time, and if you so wish, you can write down notes on them as well. This is definitely a very useful feature that prevents things from getting too confusing. Clearly, the developer has put a lot of thought into the designs of this title.
Veritas is set to launch on February 12th, 2020 for both Android and iOS, so if you are interested, be sure to mark the date. Until then, stay tuned for more updates!
