James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, announced the tournament’s location during last week’s gamescom latam. According to him, the PUBG MOBILE Global Open 2025 (PMGO 2025), the first significant LAN event of the PUBG Mobile competitive season, is scheduled in Uzbekistan next year. PMGO 2025’s exact date and venue were not announced.
The PMGO was launched in 2024 as a key addition to the mobile game's esports landscape. Held in Sao Paulo that year, the event drew over 510,000 peak viewers, as reported by Esports Charts, and was acclaimed as a significant achievement by the game's creators.
The 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) heads to Uzbekistan, a first for the Central Asian nation to host a major international esports event. While lacking such experience, Uzbekistan boasts a regional PUBG Mobile scene, including the Uzbekistan Cup co-organized by the Uzbekistan Cybersport Association and BIGPLAY.GG.
PUBG MOBILE takes center stage at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, boasting a hefty $3 million prize pool for its 2024 PUBG Mobile World Cup.
