Gun skins are fairly important in Free Fire as they provide various bonuses that would sometimes boost the efficiency of your weapon greatly. In this article, we would list out the top 10 best SMG skins in Free Fire.

10 - P90 Rebel Academy

The Rebel Academy P90 can't really out damage the UMP, despite having ++ Damage bonus in its stat. However, it makes up for the weakness with a + Range bonus that enables the user to fight more comfortably. The - ammo does not matter much at all, as the P90 already has a huge magazine size.

9 - P90 The Punishers

This is probably the best P90 skin in Free Fire, with ++ Rate of Fire and + Damage, it can dish out a huge amount of damage in a pretty short time comparing to any other SMGs. The demerit of reload time is not that hard to overcome. The Punisher also has a purple particle effect emitted from the skull on the base of the gun.

7 - MP40 New Year

This skin can be acquired from MP40-New Year Weapon Loot Crate for 60 Diamonds.

This is one of the oldest skins on this list, as it was released at the beginning of 2019. Overall, the New Year skin is pretty much the same as the Lightning strike, but the extra damage makes it even better. As MP40 is usually used in close-quarter combat anyway - the reduction in accuracy actually does not matter that much

6 - MP5 Death's Eye

This skin can be acquired from Death's Eye Weapon Loot Crate for 35 Diamonds.

The Mp5 is not a popular weapon in the SMG class as there are just too many competitors... however, if you often use this gun, the Rate of Fire bonus from Death's Eye skin makes it so much stronger. Drag headshots would be a lot easier now - and the reduction in magazine size is negligible.

5 - UMP Art of War

At ++ fire rate and + damage, the Art of War UMP is probably the version of the gun with the highest damage potential. The gun is decorated with the face of a Japanese Geisha... along with a rose petal effect.

4 - MP40 Lightning Strike

This skin can be acquired from Lightning Strike Weapon Loot Crate for 60 Diamonds.

The Mp40 Lightning Strike gun skin is just perfect in covering the weakness of the gun, which is the lower ammo capacity and damage. With the MP40 already having an insane Rate of Fire (the strongest in the game), any increase in damage would be multiplied greatly. The reload speed weakness is not too harmful, as the gun already reload pretty fast anyway.

3 - UMP Cataclysm

This skin can be acquired from UMP-Cataclysm Weapon Loot Crate for 60 Diamonds.

This is the best skin in the game for the UMP. With a massive + 2 in damage and a decent range increase, the Cataclysm skin massively improved the UMP's potential damage output. With the gun already having a big magazine, the drawback of the skin means nothing.

2 - MP5 Champion Boxer

The Champion Boxer MP5 is the best skin for this gun. Appearance-wise it is gorgeous, with a golden coating covered the majority of its body. The pattern is not that good, however - it was probably inspired by some spray paint art.

With double bonuses on Damage and Magazine, your sprays with the MP5 would be much deadlier.

1 - MP40 Flashing Spade

This incubator skin is one of the rarest skins in the game. It was part of the Incubator MP40 event back in March. You would need to exchange 3 Royal Flushes Blueprint and 7 Evolution Stones to unlock it. There is no way to get this skin currently.

Besides the massive damage boost, the Flashing Spade also makes the MP40 even faster. With the MP40 already being the fastest weapon in the game, the damage you could push out with the Flashing Spade skin equipped would be unreal.
