Kalahari is pretty much Free Fire’s version of the desert map – an attempt to bring some actual new things to the game, unlike the usual tropical island experience. The map was pretty unpopular, however, as snipers are a little bit too strong on the map due to the general lack of cover. If you are great at sniping, however, that map is pretty much a godsend.

Kalahari Free Fire

Kalahari was inspired by various desert regions all over the planet… partially, of course, as the map is too filled with life to be an actual desert. The closest real-life location is probably Australia. The weirdest things about Kalahari are the various implications that the region was previously submerged underwater, with a stranded submarine, a stranded ship, and even a giant skeleton of a sea monster. However, the ruins on the map contradict that, as the area have to be overland for people to build on.

Now, without further ado, let's dive into the main topic: the hottest looting places on Kalahari.

5 – Stone Ridge

Stone Ridge is a great place to land if you are up for some chaotic action and early faceoffs – you can usually join a fight immediately by climbing up the stairs. If you got out of the area alive, camping for players from the nearby command post is a viable option as well.

4 - Santa Catarina

Another beautiful town with a wrecked ship next to it – Santa Catarina is a generic loot spot that can serve very well in the earlier stages of the game. Due to the size of the town, it is likely that you would not be able to clear them all out in a short time, so just focus on important locations like the wrecked ship first.

3 - The Sub

The sub is one of the most unique locations in Free Fire... with a submarine stranded on the mountain. It is a perfect spot for sniping and has a high chance to spawn sniper rifles... and because of that, a lot of people like to drop here. Overall, with the great elevation, you could stay on top of it for quite a while to snipe at everything that moves.

Be careful when jumping, however – you would fall to your death with a missed jump.

2 - Command Post

Command Post is a hot location - it has a lot of drops scattered in a huge area, suitable for multiple players. If you are playing squad mode, landing here would definitely be a bloody battle. While there is plenty of loot scatter all over the place inside the tents and houses, the Command Post is known for its heavy weapon drop and armor kit drop. Unlike Refinery, this is not a good place for campers to land.

1 - Refinery

The oil drill platform in the middle of the desert is one of the most popular places that people often land on – for a good reason. Both rushers and campers could make use of it, as there are a lot of weapons and ammo scattered all over the place – while the platform itself is on the high ground. Prepare for some close-quarter combat after landing – as people would be on your back pretty soon. Use the zipline nearby if you want to get down to the ground.
