When it comes to close-quarter combat in BGMI, shotguns are considered the best. Experienced shotgun users can end opponents in one or two shots with their high damage. It is a great backup option if you are using a medium-long range weapon like the M416 or AWM.

1 - S12K

This is undoubtedly the easiest to use shotgun in BGMI... due to the fact that it is semi-automatic rather than pump action. This means you can shoot multiple times in a row without having to reload after each shot unlike the rest of the guns in this list. However, this advantage comes at the cost of massive recoil and slightly less damage.

However, the reason that the S12k gets such a high spot is the fact that it is compatible with a range of assault rifle attachments, making it very versatile.

2 - DBS

Usually, an airdrop weapon like the DBS would be on top of the list, however, the fact that the weapon is so rare drags it down. The DBS is a double-barrelled pump-action shotgun with super high burst damage in exchange for a lower range. This makes the weapon really hard to use - you need to get very close for it to work.

3 - S1897

The S1987 is PUBG Mobile’s take on the classic pump-action shotgun. It has only one shot before reloading... but that shot has massive damage. There is a slight delay to each shot, so it requires a bit of finesse. You must either ambush your target or try to close the distance as fast as possible. This is the hardest to use shotgun in BGMI.

4 - S686

The S686 is the full-sized version of the sawed-off shotgun. It has a 2 round magazine that can be fired in quick succession. This means you have only one chance to down enemies and no margin of error.

Overall, the weapon requires almost constant reloading while dealing the same damage as the S1897 shotgun. It is best that you pick something more versatile.

5 - Sawed-Off

The Sawed-Off is the weakest shotgun in the game... however, it makes up for that with the ability to be carried in the handgun slot. You could carry a sniper rifle, an assault rifle and the sawed-off, so you could have a weapon for every range.

Combat-wise, the sawed-off shotgun has a two-round magazine with the option to quickly let off both rounds. The damage is on the low side comparing to other shotguns - it is more or less a "last resort" weapon.
