BU is an upcoming puzzle platformer in which you become a wizard and are accompanied by a blue ghost called Bu. The game is set to hit Android next month, but no specific date has been confirmed at the moment.

The goal here is relatively straightforward: You and your ghostly companion must team up to navigate hazards such as spike beds, giant blocks, or even evil ghosts in order to reach the exit at the end of each level.

The real challenge lies in controlling the movement of Bu. As the wizard, the only things you can do are jumping and teleporting the ghost to where you are. The ghost, meanwhile, can transport giant blocks, and if you time your teleport ability properly, you can also use it to perform double jumps.

However, teleporting Bu is the only control you have over it. Aside from that, it will just automatically follow you wherever you go. This means if you want to use it to push blocks for you, you must reposition yourself to trick it into moving the way you want it to.

And this can go horribly wrong if you are not careful. For example, if you jump over a moveable object and leave Bu behind, it’ll start pushing the block and maybe you with it down to a spike floor or some other trap. It's an innovative idea for sure, and we are interested to see how it’ll work in practice when the game launches.

According to the developer, BU is expected to make its way to Google Play in October, but no specific date is mentioned yet. There’s currently no plan for an iOS version either, but a port could happen if the game manages to do well. For more information, visit the game's official Twitter page.
