Free Fire's character system is probably one of the best mechanics in the game, allowing players to customize their character based on the game mode and their playstyle. However, the tier list for meta characters constantly changes, due to Garena's release of new characters and older characters getting buff/nerfed.
In this article, we would answer the question of "Which is the best character in Free Fire 2021" by list out the 10 top-tier characters in OB27.
Which Is The Best Character In Free Fire 2021?
10 - Chrono
Skill: Time Turner - create a shield you can shoot through that blocks 600 damage from enemies' fire
With the heavy nerf in OB27, Chrono's ability has fallen sharply from the top of the pile to somewhere in the middle. The 170 seconds cooldown is just too much, even if this ability is insanely powerful. You would need to actually calculate your move now instead of just activate it every time you are in combat.
9 - Hayato Firebrand
Skill: Art of Blades - reduces damage taken from the front and increases armor penetration.
Hayato Firebrand's Art of Blades now incorporates the Bushido ability of the base character... and that is what boosted this ability to a higher tier. Art of Blades is a pretty effective way to going melee, especially if you are using weapons with a long reach like the scythe.

The Bushido compartment of his ability is a pretty roundabout way of providing damage boost. At the maximum level, for each 10% HP lost, Hayato would gain 10% armor penetration for his attacks. This means at 10% HP (20 points) or lower, Hayato would be able to ignore 90% of enemies' vest and helmet reduction.
8 - Dasha
Skill: Partying On - provides 4 of the rarest buffs in Free Fire: fall damage reduction, fall recovery, weapon recoil reduction and recoil buildup
These bonuses can easily be divided into 2 skills - but looks like Garena decided against it. Dasha's recoil reduction would definitely be noticeable when you use weapons with much higher recoil than the norm... such as an AK, for example.
The fall damage reduction lets Dasha leap from literally any high place and survive - this opens up a lot of strategic options, as you can move from high ground to perform objectives without losing too much time and HP. This ability is overall not nearly as useful as the recoil reduction, but still a decent bonus to have.
7 - Rafael
Skill: Dead Silent - hide your location on the minimap for 8 seconds, even if you shoot enemies
A Sniper Rifle/AR are the ideal weapons for setting up an ambush – and no character can snipe from afar as effective as Rafael. With his “Dead Silent” skill, Rafael can backstab/shoot people freely without having to worry about his cover getting blown. This works the best in team games – you can down one team member then duck back into cover, leaving the enemy squad disorganized.

6 - Kelly "the Swift"
Skill: Deadly Velocity - increase the damage of the next 2 shots after running for a certain distance - also increase running speed by 6%
Kelly's awakening skill is actually worth using now, with the 6% movement speed bonus incorporated into it. Deadly Velocity is fairly clunky to use, but it is one of the few skills in the game that outright increases the damage of your character.
5 - A124's Thrill of Battle
Skill: Thrill of Battle - an active ability that converts EP to HP at a fast rate
At max level, you would be able to convert 50 EP to HP every 60 seconds. Overall, this ability is super useful when activated in the middle of combat - it pretty much gives you a 50 HP bonus... and in 1vs1 fights, that is more or less a free kill. Combo this with Miguel's ability to get the EP back after every kill.
4 - Skyler
Skill: Riptide Rhythm - damages nearby Gloo Walls and restore HP
Overall, this skill is fairly decent - it is worth using for the healing effect alone... with the active ability of damaging enemies' Gloo Walls being a nice bonus on top. Just remember to use this skill before deploying your own wall, as it also damages the walls you created.

3 - Shirou
Skill: Damage Delivered - tag an enemy who hit Shirou, reveal their location and the first hit scored against them would ignore all armor
With this skill, Shiro can deal with snipers and ambushers more effectively... and with a high damage weapon like an SKS or SVD, the player can even one-shot people with that 100% armor penetration. With the bonus provided by this skill, even the highest level armors and helmets are useless. The vision from this skill does not get shared with your teammates - only you would be able to see the marked enemy.
2 - K
Skill: Master of All - can be toggled between 2 modes... one restore EP and one consume it at a faster rate.
K is one of the best healers in Free Fire currently - you can get tons of free EP to convert into HP later. The healing aura also affects teammates - enabling them to pick other abilities instead of having to use K.

1 - Alok
Skill: Drop the Beat - create an aura that heals and increases movement speed
Alok is usually considered amongst the strongest characters released in Free Fire because of his "Drop the beat" skill's multiple powers. Normally, a character's skill can only boost one stat (like Kelly for example) but Alok's skill can pretty much do everything - from Speed boost to heal... and it also affects all teammates in the area as well. There is a reason why pretty much everyone is asking for Alok Free Giveaway.
We hope this is a sufficient answer to the question "Which Is The Best Character In Free Fire 2021" - Alok has climbed back to the top once again.
