Hiyuki is a 5-star Glacio Sword Main DPS releasing in Version 3.3 Phase 1 (expected April 29–30, 2026). She is a miko-style resonator who uses dual stances, Glacio Chafe/Bite mechanics, and powerful Resonance Liberation damage.
Her gameplay involves managing Mind stacks, switching to an empowered state, applying Chafe, and detonating Bite stacks for big damage.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Excellent personal Glacio DPS with strong Resonance Liberation scaling
- Team-wide buffs and utility (Glacio DMG amp + DEF ignore)
- Beautiful iaido-style animations and flexible playstyle
- Good performance even at S0
Cons:
- Relies on teammates for full Chafe/Bite synergy on launch
- New Echo set and weekly boss materials are time-gated
- Requires good resource and stance management
Quick Kit Overview
Hiyuki has two main states: Normal State and Anticipated / Foreclaimed Self (empowered state).
- Builds Mind stacks with Basic Attacks and Skills.
- Converts teammate Glacio Chafe into Glacio Bite. At 10+ Bite stacks, triggers Frostbind (freeze + heavy damage).
- Uses Iai slashes and empowered Heavy Attacks in her second stance for massive Glacio damage.
- Resonance Liberation is split into two parts and deals high burst damage with no Concerto cost in her empowered state.
- Outro Skill provides Glacio DMG amplification to the next character.
Skill Priority for leveling: Inherent Skills → Forte Circuit → Resonance Liberation → Basic Attack → Resonance Skill.

Best Team Compositions
Current Best Team (3.3 launch): Hiyuki (Main DPS) + Lynae (Sub-DPS) + Chisa (Support)
This combo maximizes DPR through Chafe application, buffs, and shred.
Future Premium Team (with Lucilla): Hiyuki + Lucilla + Chisa (expected to be her strongest long-term team).
Strong Alternatives:
- Hiyuki + Lynae + Mornye
- Hiyuki + Lynae + Shorekeeper (more comfortable healing)
- F2P/Budget: Hiyuki + Sanhua + Jianxin/Yangyang + Verina/Baizhi
Sequence Priorities: S1 offers good DPS and QoL. S3 is a major power spike (team-independent). Higher sequences are luxury.
Ascension & Forte Materials
Pre-farm Priority (start now):
- Weekly boss materials (new boss – time-gated)
- Sword forgery materials (Polarizers)
- Exoswarm Cores
- Regional specialties (Edelschnee + "Our Choice")
- Shell Credits
The new Echo domain cannot be pre-farmed. Stockpile Waveplates for release day.
Playstyle & Rotation Tips
- Use Normal Attacks and Skills to build Mind stacks and enter Anticipated State.
- Quick-swap to teammates for Chafe application and buffs.
- Perform Iai slashes and empowered attacks for high damage.
- Detonate Frostbind when Bite stacks reach 10+.
- Cast Resonance Liberation in empowered state for big nuke.
- Outro to the next character for team amplification.
Rotations are generally 10–12 seconds. Focus on timing your stance switch and resource management.
Should You Pull for Hiyuki?
Yes — especially if you need a strong Glacio Main DPS. She has beautiful animations, solid S0 performance, and good team value. Skip if you are saving for future characters like Lucilla or have no interest in Glacio teams.
