Coming from Game Dev Team, zCube is an RTS game for mobile that draws inspiration from many classic titles in the genre.  The unique thing is, the entire game takes place on top of a huge cube, with each of its sides being a surface to establish bases and initiate skirmishes on. The game is available for both Android and iOS right now. Check out its trailer below:

While traditional RTS titles rely on the fog of war mechanic to obscure your vision, zCube requires you to send units to the edge of the cube to rotate it, revealing what’s going on on the other sides. It’s a cool little innovation that makes this one stand out from the rest of the pack. Beyond that, the game offers everything you’d expect from a game of this genre: You’ll gather resources, put up buildings, research new tech, and recruit more troops to conquer others.

From the trailer included above, it can be seen that the interface looks pretty neat with block colors that make units easy to target. Allied troops are presented in blue whilst enemies are red, meaning you can keep track of what’s happening even in the most hectic of battles.

At launch, zCube offers 25 missions to play through, and of course, there is also an option to create 1v1 or 2v2 custom games. The AI seems pretty formidable, so even veterans can probably get a good time out of this one.

Developer Game Dev Team is somewhat well-known for MechCom, another strategy series. zCube doesn’t look all that different, so if you enjoyed the studio’s previous works, then it is a game you should definitely check out. The game is now available on both Google Play and the App Store. It is a premium app priced at £0.99 (Rs 90).
