Finally, we got a release date for Size Five Games’ next point & click adventure title, Lair of the Clockwork God. They have been working on this title for quite a while, with various alpha builds available since last year. The story of the game would be a continuation to Size Five’s previous titles, “Time Gentlemen, Please!” and “Ben There, Dan That”.
Since the last time we saw Dan and Ben, the protagonists of Clockwork God, Size Five had worked on various action titles like Gun Monkeys, Behold the Kickmen and The Swindle. This is probably the reason why we got more action elements in this sequel, which was supposed to be just a pure point & click adventure. There would be two separate sections for the two main characters in this game – while Ben stays true to the core game of adventure, Dan’s section would be a platformer, complete with block-pushing and wall-jumping.
Below is a gameplay trailer in which Size Five would showcase the unique playstyles that the two characters have.
Overall, while the two characters would work on their completely separate section, in order to progress, they would have to combine their efforts together. Dan would scout around, using his double jump ability to explore the map and gather necessary items so that Ben would use the tools from his inventory to create devices that would let them progress. Everything would fit together in a way you would not expect.
Lair of the Clockwork God would be available for PC on Feb 21, with a console version at a later date. Interested in more of our articles related to video games? Please check out this post for the 14 best games to play while relaxing.
