GTA V is getting a new update that’ll add AMD’s FSR 4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) down the line. This means better-looking graphics when using the upscaler. So far, GTA V Enhanced on PC has only had FSR 3 support since its launch. If you’ve got a Radeon RX 9070 or 9060 Series graphics card, you’ll be happy to hear this upgrade is on the way, possibly in just a few weeks.
A Reddit user, aBoyFromTheFuture, noticed AMD updated a support article on Thursday, confirming Rockstar Games is bringing FSR 4 to GTA V Enhanced. Over 30 games were added to the FSR 4 support list, with Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced marked as “Upcoming.” Now it’s just a matter of Rockstar rolling out a patch with FSR 4.
Update Release Date?
Rockstar Games announced on Wednesday that a new GTA Online update is coming this month. This isn’t a surprise since they usually drop a GTA Online DLC in June. The update is pretty much set for Tuesday, June 17th, based on the current Event Week and GTA+ month wrapping up. Since FSR 4 support for GTA V Enhanced was just revealed, it’s likely to be included in this big summer update hitting in about a week.
FSR 4 will need a newer AMD Radeon GPU, but it’s great to see Rockstar adding it. The jump from FSR 3 to FSR 4 improves visual clarity a lot. It might lower frame rates a bit, but since GTA V Enhanced runs smoothly on modern setups, it shouldn’t be a big deal.
We’ll keep you posted on GTA Online’s next DLC, so stay tuned to Gurugamer.
