Minecraft currently has 70 different mobs of all shapes and sizes, and some of them are much larger than you would imagine. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 tallest mobs in Minecraft 1.19.
1. The Ender Dragon
It is just fitting that the final boss of Minecraft, Ender Dragon, is the biggest mob in the game. It is over 8 blocks tall and towers over the player. After killing the Ender Dragon it is actually possible to respawn it to continue farming dragon breath.
Despite its size, the Ender Dragon is much easier than you would think. Minecraft speedrunners have proved time and time that the boss can be easily destroyed with just a few bed explosions.
2. Ghasts
Not counting their tentacles, Ghasts are over 4 blocks tall, making them the 2nd biggest mob in the game.
These flying ghost blobs are a terrifying experience when you first enter the Nether. Players need to be very careful when dealing with Ghast, as their fireballs can knock you into a lava pit fairly easily.
3. The Wither
The Wither floats in at 3.5 blocks tall. The Wither may not be the largest mob in Minecraft, but it is undoubtedly one of the most deadly.
To summon a wither in Minecraft, you need to get three Wither Skulls by farming Wither Skeletons. Get a sword with Looting III and start working on it - you might need to kill hundreds of skeletons to get them. At least this Minecraft mob is not too challenging. You can also try to lead a Charged Creeper through a portal - its explosions guaranteed a skull drop from Wither Skeletons.
Build a T block with Soul Sand or Soul Soil, then place the three skulls on top. Upon spawning, the Wither would cause a big explosion, clearing out everything in the area.
4. Endermen
When unbothered, Endermen are 2.9 blocks tall. When you agitate them, they become 3.2 blocks tall.
An enderman is a neutral mob found in all three dimensions. Endermen can teleport and pick up blocks As they spawn in groups of 4, fighting multiple of them at the same time can be pretty tricky. Ranged attacks are ineffective against endermen as projectiles are hard-coded to not hit them.
When fighting Endermen in Minecraft, it is recommended to attack their legs to prevent their teleports. Endermen are not provoked by a player viewing it through a transparent block or while wearing a carved pumpkin, therefore, when exploring the Nether, it is best to prepare a carved pumpkin.
5. Warden
The Warden is the newest boss added to the Deep Dark as part of the 1.19 update. It is the strongest mob in the game so far, with punches that deal 30 damage and a ranged attack that bypasses blocks. These blind, monstrous creatures are 2.9 blocks tall.
Wardens spawn if you're unfortunate enough to activate the sculk shriekers four times. Even though they can't see you, they can detect your movement, so be careful.
