Due to the coronavirus outbreak, The International 10 has been postponed and we will probably have to wait until next year to see if OG can win the third time or not. However, there is one more thing that DOTA 2 fans crave even more than The International 10, it is the Battle Pass. TI 10 can be canceled, but the fans will never forgive Valve if the Battle Pass isn't released.
So recently, when a random Redditor is chanting the ancient spell to summon the Battle Pass, a Valve developer has appeared to answer the call. He then "declare with certainty that the Battle Pass is coming early next week". Not only 1 but 2 other Valve developers have appeared to confirm the prophecy.
Along with the prophecy, the dev also revealed a picture with some secret math equations that refer to famous events in DOTA 2. Check it out below and see if you can decode it.
According to Valve, the Battle Pass this year will have the same duration as usual and not expand until 2021. 25% revenue of the Battle Pass this year will still be contributed to the prize pool of The International 10.
About the Battle Pass
The Battle Pass was introduced to DOTA 2 since The International 4 and has become one of the best things in DOTA 2 ever since. 25% of the revenue of the Battle Pass will be used for the prize pool of The International.
In the Battle Pass are missions, mini-games, sometimes new game modes for fans to play and earn exclusive items. If a player can reach Level 1000, they will be able to get a real-life Roshan statue made by Valve. While the price of the Battle Pass is cheap, the amount of content and rewards it offers is enormous, making it the must-buy item for many DOTA 2 fans every year.
