The Warhammer franchise is has a long-running history that began all the way back in 1983. As a result, Warhammer: Chaosbane has several decades’ worth of source material to base its story upon. Now, this upcoming co-op action game has just received a new story trailer, and it looks like it will be focusing on the war between Magnus the Pious and Asavar Kul. Needless to say, this clash between Chaos and the world of men would be a perfect setting for a potentially great game. Check out the full trailer below:

The story begins after Kul’s defeat at the hand of Magnus. However, the armies of evil are restless, and they are quickly regrouping to exact their vengeance. Now, it is up to the players – who will become one of the 4 heroes of the Old World – to drive them back.

Warhammer: Chaosbane brings with it a huge collection of monsters for you to test your strength against. Of course, you will have access to plenty of powerful abilities yourself, and if that isn’t enough, you have your friends to rely on as well.

Use powerful abilities to defeat the forces of evil

That’s right, the game allows you to team up with up to 3 other friends, whether through LAN or online, to create some devastating class synergies that are sure to crush the forces of Chaos under your feet. After finishing the main story, there are also several end-game contents for you to complete.

Plenty of content to play through, whether solo or with friends

For example, in the Boss Rush mode you can fight bosses again and again to obtain new equipment. The Expedition mode, meanwhile, provides you with procedurally-generated maps to play through. Last but not least, the Relic Hunt mode adds more challenges to those random maps in the form of multiple conditions that you must follow. Naturally, the greater the challenges, the higher the rewards.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is scheduled to hit PC, Xbox One, and PS4 next month on the 4th of June.
