The results of the In-Game Qualifiers of the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 were announced on June 5. Many people were very angry about the results because many teams with high kills average failed to make it in further. As a result, PMIS organizers decided to increase the number of qualified teams along with some changes in the format of the tournament.

PMIS 2020 New Format

Below is the revised format of the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020.

Pre-Qualifiers

The number of qualified teams has been increased to 992 teams so there will be an additional round called "PRE-QUALIFIERS" to pick out the best 248 teams from these 992 teams.

The Pre-Qualifiers round starts from June 11 to June 15. 992 teams will be divided into 62 groups of 16 teams. Teams will be playing 2 matches on Erangel. Four teams from each group with the most scores will advance to the next round.

Online Qualifiers (Round 1)

The PMIS Online-Qualifiers will be starting from June 17 with a total of 256 teams

A total of 256 teams, including 248 teams from the Pre-Qualifiers and 8 invited teams will be playing the Online-Qualifiers from June 17.

All teams will be divided into 16 groups with 16 teams in each group. All teams will play 2 matches on Erangel and Sanhok. The top 3 teams from each group with the most points will advance to the next round.

Quarter-Finals (Round 2)

There will be a total of 64 teams in this round (56 teams from Online Qualifiers with 8 Invited Teams and 8 teams with highest kills).

These 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 16 teams. All teams will play 6 matches on different maps. The top 8 teams from each group with the most points will go to the next round.

Semi-Finals

A total of 32 teams will be int he Semi-Finals. These teams will be divided into 4 groups of 8 teams. These 32 teams will be playing matches in Round Robin Format. After the end of the semi-finals, the top 16 teams with the most points will move on to the PUBG Mobile India Series Grand Finals.

Grand Finals

The last 16 teams will be playing a total fo 12 matches over 2 days in the Grand Finals. Teams will be fighting for the title "PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 Champion" and the prize pool of Rs 50 lakh. The top 1 team will receive Rs 20 lakh.
