The final week of July gave us Android players plenty of great games to dig into. Most of these games are premium releases, which is either a good or a bad thing depending on your preferences and habits. In any case, it’s nice to have a wide variety of new titles that span across multiple genres and monetization models, as there’s something for everybody. Let’s have a look:
The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands
The Bonfire: Forsaken Lands is a survival game with a minimalistic art style in which you become the leader of a small tribe. Your task is to build a proper settlement for your people in order to survive against the harsh weather and the horrifying monsters that prey on them at night.
As with any other games of this type, your decision-making skills will be put to the test. The game offers a trial version for free that allows you to play up to day 7 in-game, after which you can unlock the full experience via a one-time IAP that costs $3.99 (Rs 275).
Gigantic X
Gigantic X is a top-down shooter with a sci-fi theme where you get to battle some of the most fearsome monsters in the galaxy. The game offers 3 playable characters with different playstyles, as well as plenty of gear and weapons to further customize them. If you like games that require skills, dedication, and a little bit of luck, then Gigantic X is something you might want to look into. You can get it for your Android device for free.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an awesome JRPG that has just received a mobile port after a successful launch on PC and Switch. Featuring gorgeous graphics, engaging turn-based combat, and an epic story based on a best-selling comic series, the game is highly praised by players and critics alike.
Hamsterdam
Hamsterdam is a cutesy beat ‘em up with an absolutely adorable art style and a frantic gesture-based combat system. You play as Pimm, a hamster who happens to also be a Kung Fu master, and your task is to use your ass-kicking skills to defeat a nasty gang of vermin and restore peace to the town.
Traitors Empire
Traitors Empire is what you get when you combine an RPG with elements of a card game. Pretty common for a game like this, the gameplay involves clearing out a series of dungeons using a deck of cards that represent different abilities. You can only bring a couple of cards with you into battle, so your deck-building skill will be of paramount importance if you want to come out on top.
