Claymore is by far the best weapon class in Genshin Impact. It breaks shields faster, staggers more easily, and has a decent area of effect. That's more than what other types could bring to the table. While claymore attacks feel slow, they have higher modifiers to balance that out. This is why Claymore users have always been in demand. Below is the Claymore users Genshin Impact tier list 2021, ranked from best to worst.

There are 8 Claymore users in the game currently, covering 5 elements, including Eula, Diluc, Razor, Xinyan, Chongyun, Noelle, Beidou and Sayu. However, there are no Dendro or Hydro claymore users Genshin Impact.

1. Eula

Eula is a DPS fighter whose greatest strength is her powerful burst and physical damage potential. She is undoubtedly one of the best Genshin Impact characters, an S-tier damage-dealer who caters to that classic Diluc playstyle.

As her Elemental Burst deal Phys damage, it is best to build Eula around Physical damage. Her Cryo Vision grants access to the Superconduct elemental reaction, which amplifies her physical damage even further.

It should come as no surprise that the best weapon for Eula as the main DPS is her signature claymore, Song of Broken Pines.

Eula is the uncontested queen of DPS in Genshin Impact.

2. Diluc

Diluc is the first S-tier DPS character in the game. After one year, he remains one of the best claymore users in Genshin Impact, with only Eula managed to surpass. Overall, Diluc's Elemental Skill and Burst play a big role in his damage - the former can be used up to three times while the latter has a low energy requirement and infuse his weapon with Pyro.

All components of his kit give him the ability to dish out highly damaging Pyro reactions like Melt and Vaporise continuously. Diluc is one of the few characters that can stay constantly on the field without swapping out.

The Wolf's Gravestone is the best weapon for Diluc in Genshin Impact, as it purely increases his ATK.

Diluc used to be the strongest character in the game.

3. Razor

Before Eula's release, Razor was the best Claymore Physical DPS. His Electro vision is great for dealing Phys damage due to Superconduct. This is why Razor is amongst the best characters in claymore users Genshin Impact tier list

However, unlike Eula, Razor cannot be swapped in and out. His Elemental Burst's attack speed and electro damage bonus get removed when that happens. Therefore, players need to build a team around Razor to bring out his full potential.

The Unforged is the best claymore for Razor hands down, because of its massive base attack and secondary stat.

Genshin Impact Razor
Razor is a great Phys DPS amongst claymore users Genshin Impact, but he need to be a main DPS.

4. Xinyan

Xinyan's Elemental Burst is pretty unique - instead of dealing elemental damage, it inflicts physical damage. Therefore, she should not be built around Pyro damage, as her Pyro application is very lackluster.

Overall, Xinyan is very versatile. She can work as a main DPS via her Charged Attack and Burst or as support that swaps in and out to use her skill and burst. Her vision lets her synergize with other Pyro DPS.

The best 5-star weapon for Xinyan is the Skyward Pride, as it mitigates her Energy Recharge issues.

5. Chongyun

Chongyun is usually considered a Sub-DPS character that only comes out to fire his Elemental Burst. He is fairly lackluster as a main DPC due to the low scaling on his Normal and Charged Attacks.

Another weakness of his kit is the Frost Field from his elemental skill. Characters inside this field will become Cryo infused, which might be a problem for physical-focused melee characters like Keqing or Razor. This is why Chongyun is on the bottom half of the list.

Support Chongyun can definitely make use of Skyward Pride's Energy Recharge and skill.

Genshin Impact Chongyun
Chongyun is very hard to use.

6. Noelle

Genshin Impact is not a hard game, and because of that, jack of all trades like Noelle do not have the chance to shine that much. Despite the fact that Noelle can do almost everything from shielding to healing and damage, she's just average even with the best builds.

Furthermore, she only becomes viable as a main DPS after C6, and even then, good artifact sets are required. This is why Noelle is a bit low on this tier list.

If you want to main Noelle then The Unforged is the way to go. It boosts Noelle's shielding ability and attacks at the same time.

Noelle
Noelle needs a lot of investments to become effective.

7. Beidou

Beidou's kit makes her an Electro damage dealer. However, due to the fact that Electro is the weakest element for reaction damage in the game, her capability is really limited. The best way to play Beidou is to employ her as a sub DPS, who applies Electro to trigger reactions for the main DPS to deal damage.

Hydro DPS like Tartaglia can benefit greatly from support Beidou. Similar to other sub DPS and support, she greatly benefits from Skyward Pride.

Beidou Best Build
Beidou is held back by her Electro vision.

8. Sayu

Overall, Sayu is a confused character that scales on two things instead of one, which makes her underpowered. She can either heal the active fighter based on her attack or heal all off-field characters with her Elemental Mastery.

However, most healers in the game out-perform her, with the likes of Jean and Noelle can heal and deal damage at the same time. Sayu just can't deal enough damage to worth her slot in a fight. This is why she is the worst amongst claymore users Genshin Impact.

Wolf's Gravestone is actually the best claymore for Sayu, as she does not need the Energy Recharge from Skyward much.

Sayu
Sayu is the only Anemo claymore user in Genshin Impact.
