While miHoYo has been clamping down hard on leakers and dataminers as of late, there are still various credible Genshin Impact 2.2 reveals to cover. In this article, we are going to showcase Thoma Skills and Constellation, more details about Tsurumi Island, and expected Genshin Impact release date.
1 - New character Thoma Skills and Constellation analysis
Remember that all details below are Genshin Impact 2.2 leaks, therefore can be subjected to change.
Thoma's Banner
Thoma (a.k.a Tohma or Toma) is a 4-star Pyro Polearm user, therefore, he won't be the main character of the 2nd banner. The main character of the banner, the 5-star, has not been revealed yet, however, it is expected that the banner is going to be a rerun.
Based on various speculations, there is a high possibility that this would be a Ganyu rerun. However, another 5-star character like Hu Tao can be featured instead.
Thoma's skill
Overall, Thoma is a Pyro support who can allow the main DPS of the team to deal massive elemental reaction damage while countering Pyro damage in the process.
- Thoma's charged attack, a spear lunge, is fairly useful. You can use the skill to quickly close the distance to the target.
- His elemental skill, Blazing Blessing, deals Pyro damage, applying Pyro to Thoma and creates a Pyro barrier based on his Max HP for 8 seconds. The barrier is super effective against Pyro Damage, as it can absorb Pyro damage 250% more effectively. Overall, this is a counter to mobs with high Pyro damage.
- Thoma's Elemental Burst, Crimson Ooyoroi, would deal AoE pyro damage around Thoma and apply a Scorching Panoply buff on the character. This buff generates another Blazing Blessing shield and causes the affected character's attacks to trigger additional Fiery Collapses, dealing additional AoE pyro damage.
Thoma's Passive
- His utility passive, Free Fisher, gives players 20% to double any fish caught in Inazuma.
- The first ascension passive, Imbricated Armor, increases the shield strength of characters affected by Blazing Barrier by 5% for 6 seconds. This effect can be stack 5 times.
- Flaming Assault, the fourth ascension passive, increases the damage dealt by Crimson Ooyoroi’s Fiery Collapses by 1.5% of Thoma’s max health.
Overall, these passives improve Thoma's support ability even further.
Thoma's Constellations
Overall, Thoma Skills and Constellation are designed around being a swap out Pyro Support, similar to many other 4-star characters.
- Thoma's constellations, unsurprisingly, also revolves around supporting. C1 decreases the cooldown of his skill and burst when another character gets hit while under the effect of Blazing Blessing.
- C3 and C5, as usual, increases the level of his skill and boost by 3. C2 increases the duration of Crimson Ooyoroi by three seconds. C4 gives Thoma O.4 energy every time a Fiery Collapse is triggered.
- The last level, C6, increases all party members' Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 15 percent when they are under the effect of Blazing Blessing. This is yet another decent support boost.
2 - Tsurumi Island and Genshin Impact 2.2 Release date
Tsurumi island is very creepy. The whole thing is surrounded by a dense fog, and it has been years since anyone has dared to venture to it. Check out the video below for some Tsurumi Island exploration with Thoma - there won't be any spoilers.
Genshin Impact's 2.2 patch is expected to release on October 13, 2021, at 6 AM UTC +8.
