Layla is a Cryo shield bot who can deal a bit of off-field Cryo damage in multiple instances. Additionally, she scales based on HP so building artifact on her is rather easy.

Maxresdefault 2 — Layla's Elemental Skill and Burst activated. She is literally sleeping, with a hanging toy on top of her.

It is rather effortless using her - players just fire off E then Q then switch to other characters. Her E generates a shield and Cryo projectiles while her Q generates Cryo projectiles only. Players should focus on Layla's Skill and Burst - her normal attack can be skipped as she usually stays off-field anyway.

Best constellation for Layla

Layla's constellations are nothing special. Her best constellation is probably C2, which gives her some energy regeneration. However, her burst already has a low energy cost so this doesn't really matter that much.

C4 improves Layla's support ability, boosting teammates' normal and charged attack damage substantially. However, it still needs a well-built Layla for the most efficiency.

C6 boosts the damage of Layla's off-field Cryo application by 40%. This just brings her damage to "average" tier, as her base kit has pretty low damage.

As Layla is a shield bot/off-field support who doesn't deal much damage anyway, her weapon choices are rather simple:

Energy Regeneration: Sacrificial Sword, Festering Desire, Favonius Sword. Players can just put one of these on her if they already have another support sword user leveled. These weapons allow Layla to function better as a battery to regenerate energy for her teammates.
Off-field Cryo support: Freedom Sworn
Boost shield strength/damage: Primordial Jade Cutter, Key of Khaj-Nisut. As Layla scales based on HP, any weapon with bonus HP would be great for her. The new Key of Khaj-Nisut (Nilou's sword) is actually the best, as its secondary stat is HP%.

Best Artifact Sets for Layla

As mentioned above, Layla scales based on HP so players need to stack as many +HP% as possible on her artifacts. Outside of that, try to get Elemental Mastery and Energy Regeneration.

The best artifact set for Layla is Tenacity Of The Millelith x4. It increases both Layla's HP and shield strength. Its 4-piece bonus triggers when Layla's abilities deal damage off-field, buffing her teammates.

Layla + Ayaka + Yelan + Kokomi

Ayaka is the main DPS of the team, dealing damage and triggering Freeze with Layla's Cryo Resonance. Players can also use Ganyu in this position.

Kamisato Ayaka Kamisato Ayato 4k 5k Hd Genshin Imp — Layla is great in freeze teams due to her ability to apply multiple instances of Cryo off-field.

Yelan and Kokomi's Hydro resonance will further boost Layla's damage and shield. They are also off-field supports that can assist Ayaka in dealing damage. The Hydro duo is pretty flexible - players can substitute the above characters with Xingqiu, Barbara, Mona...etc, based on what they have.

Ayato can also be run as the main DPS, with Layla supporting him in triggering Freeze.

Layla + Eula + Rosaria + Fischl

Layla's ability to apply Cryo off-field makes her a good character to use in superconduct Phys team with Eula/Razor DPS. Just add an off-field Electro applicator like Fischl and you are good to go. Layla more or less replaces the role of Diona in Phys teams.

Fischl triggers superconduct alongside Layla, allowing Eula/Razor to deal massive damage.
