The list of characters in Genshin Impact is prolonged with the arrival of new characters. The more characters you get, the more teams you can build for different purposes and strategies. Here are all must-know tips to get all characters in this game.

#1. Get Ready For Update Events

Genshin Impact often releases big update events with tons of precious rewards for every new update. That's the way to make these updates more interesting and attractive to players. In many recent update events, Genshin Impact gives away free characters.

For example, the Fleeting Colors in Flights in version 2.4 allows players to choose one of all 4-star characters from Liyue. You could choose the character you haven't got yet. Then, players have another chance to obtain a free Xingqiu from Genshin Impact 2.6 update event. But you should complete all previous quests and rank up to be eligible for these events.

#2. Visit Paimon's Bargains Shop

You should visit Paimon's Bargains shop every month to check out two purchasable characters. If you haven't got those characters yet, use Starglitters to exchange for them. Each character costs you 34 Starglitters.

The two current purchasable characters in Paimon's Bargains Shop are Xingqiu and Ningguang. This shop only features 4-star characters. So, you cannot get 5-star characters by purchasing. Apart from characters, you can also get 4-star weapons from this shop for those characters.

#3. Save Primogems For Wishing

Genshin Impact players can only get 5-star characters from wish banners. There are two types of banners to obtain characters in Genshin Impact using two different types of Fates.

• Character banners require Intertwined Fates;
• Standard banner requires Acquaint Fates.

Character banners are refreshed every update. Each version has two phases with 1-2 character banners in each phase. In the upcoming update, there will be three character banners, including a new banner and two rerun banners.

Moreover, each character banner also features three 4-star characters, including both new and old characters. For example, Yunjin is the latest 4-star character in the banner of Shenhe and Xiao's rerun in Genshin Impact 2.4.

#4. Get All Free Characters

Genshin Impact players can also get some characters for free from permanent events and a beginner's banner. Here are all quests and events you need to do to get all free characters in this game.

• Crash Course quest for Kaeya;
• Wind-Riding Knight quest for Amber;
• Sparks Amongst the Pages quest for Lisa;
• Baptism of Song event for Barbara;
• Floor 3, Chamber 3 of the Spiral Abyss for Xiangling.

Aether and Lumine are the two free main characters, but players can choose only one of them. You can change the element of the main character but cannot switch between them after completing the account creation.

#5. Always Join Time-Limited Events

Apart from permanent quests and update events, the game also gives away free characters in time-limited events. For example, Aloy is the only 5-star character you can get for free up to now. She was the in-game reward for eligible players in a Collaboration event in updates 2.2 and 2.3.

Wait for future time-limited events and try to meet the requirements to get free characters. You need to level up and complete all world quests and archon quests to always be ready for those events.
