Free Fire has just celebrated its third birthday - the game has been growing steadily in the past few years, with various changes and updates to keep players hooked. Being a global brand, Free Fire’s current strategy is to include new characters based on celebrities in countries where the game is popular. Other Free Fire countries like Thailand or Brazil have got theirs for a while now - at long last, India is going to get a new character. In this article, we are going to list out everything you need to know about Hrithik Roshan in Free Fire.
Free Fire New Character Jai
1 - Why is Garena adding an Indian character?
All characters in Free Fire are partially based on a real life person or multiple people combined - Garena usually would not make this obvious, of course, as they would have to pay to use their likeliness. However, in recent years, this policy has been ease up a lot, with the company making collabs with celebrities in popular Free Fire countries.
With India being number 4, it is actually not a surprise that Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil got their characters first. They are represented by Kla, Jota and Alok respectively. These characters sell like hot cakes in their respective countries - according to a recent reveal by Garena, Kla is the most popular character in the game. This is a huge surprise, as his skill is actually pretty useless in a fight.
2 - Designs of Hrithik Roshan In Free Fire
Hrithik Roshan, born on Jan 10, 1974 in Mumbai, is one of the most famous names in Bollywood - even casual movie watchers would have heard about him. His dashing looks and dancing skills may have become familiar to any fans of Bollywood movies. Roshan's most famous works are probably the Krrish movies and Jodhaa Akbar - the guy is known to put a lot of effort into movies he's in.
In Free Fire, Hrithik Roshan's Jai character is a government agent (either police or special forces), with his last known location being New Delhi. Based on his files, looks like Jai might have gone undercover or rogue - it is probably the former, with the guy investigating the Free Fire island, along with the tag line of the event "being the hero". Jai would be an agent from the forces of good, seeking to uncover all the sinister plots of the organization.
Jai is dressed in a military vest with pouches that contain tools and ammo, along with leather bracers. His whole appearance screams "spy", with famous assassin/spy characters in gaming just happen to wear the same style.
3 - Tips and Tricks on using Jai's ability
Jai's ability is going to be called "Furious Reload", which allows players to instantly reload their weapon one time, with a cooldown period of a few seconds. This ability can be used on a wide variety of weapons, except for maybe crossbow and launcher. At first glance, this ability might seem to be useless or "only useful in close quarter", as you rarely run out of ammo mid-fight for it to be useful. Furious Reload is probably designed based on Hrithik Roshan's combat style in his movies - going in gun blazing.
This is actually wrong, however, as the skill works on powerful single-shot weapons like the Sniper Rifle or some of the single shot Shotguns. When using these two weapon types, you would be able to skip the reload after the first shot and fire the second right away, tremendously increasing the potential damage of the weapon. Killing someone with sniper rifles' body shots are possible now.
To make use of Jai's potential, it is recommended that you employ those types of weapons and follow a rusher or sniper build. Jota, Alok, Rafael and Laura's ability are all pretty useful. For sniper build, go with the latter two and if you are going to rush, pick up Jota's ability.
4 - When will Jai be released and how to get him?
Jai's data was leaked way back in early July - he was supposed to be released along with Hayato Awakening but changed later. It is likely that Jai would be in the next OB 24 patch, as the reveal announcement has just been released the other day.
Jai is going to be a paid character with a cosmetics bundle - it is the perfect chance for Garena to get money for their efforts, as Hrithik Roshan's popularity would draw the fans into buying the character.
