We first reported on the PvP tank battle game Pico Tanks from developer Panda Arcade all the way back in December last year, and even then the game had already been under development for about a year at the very least. The thing about Pico Tanks that captured our attention was how much effort the developer was putting into it, from the detailed graphics and animations to the massive variety of customization options for the tanks.
It’s clear that Panda Arcade really wants to polish the gameplay as much as it can. For pretty much the entirety of 2019 the studio has been running beta testing for the game to prepare it for an official launch. And now comes the exciting news: Pico Tanks is finally confirmed to be launching globally for both Android and iOS on the 31st of January, 2020. We also got a brand new trailer alongside the announcement, which you can check out right below:
But wait, there’s more! If you are as excited about the game as we are right now, then you’ll probably be glad to know that it is now available for pre-registration on Google Play and the App Store. As is a common practice for mobile games, if you pre-register for it right now you’ll get a bonus “Sheep Topper” when Pico Tanks actually comes out.
What’s a Sheep Topper you ask? Well, as its name already tells, this is a ship that will sit on top of your tank, and it’s just one example of the plethora of ways you’ll be able to customize your battle vehicle. The game was also soft-launched in several regions including New Zealand, Australia, and the Philippines last week, so on the off chance that you are living in one of those regions, you can check it out right now. If not, be sure to head over to Google Play or the App Store to pre-register if you are interested, and stay tuned for more updates in the future!
