The upcoming Mobile MMORPG ‘Warhammer: Odyssey’ is nearly here and a new teaser trailer has recently surfaced, giving us some more insights about this game. Check it out below:
‘Warhammer: Odyssey’ is nearly here
Virtual Realms was the MMORPG developer for the game Celtic Heroes in 2011, which is the most well-received game of that time. About one month ago, the studio announced that it would develop a new MMORPG, working together with Games Workshop. The goal is to put into the Warhammer universe a new mobile MMORPG named ‘Warhammer: Odyssey’.
To deliver the best experience, the team has been building the game as a fully-3D open-world MMORPG. To start, it will feature six divergent classes starting out at different locations. It seems quite promising, but we have to wait for more information before we can make any concrete statement.
What does Warhammer: Odyssey have to offer?
Through the teaser included above, Virtual Realms has shown us such splendid 3D environments in the game, which has got many players quite excited. However, a major question that potential players have had regarding this upcoming release is whether it will include an auto-battle mode or other features such as auto-traveling. After all, these are extremely common factors in most mobile MMORPGs these days, though opinions about them have been divisive.
Whether you love them or hate them, though, the developer has taken to the Discord server of the game to confirm that there will be no autoplay in Odyssey whatsoever. No doubt some players will be thrilled by this information, while others will find it disappointing. We at Gurugamer, though, belong to the former group. The way we see it, what's the point of playing a game if most of your time will be spent watching your character do stuff on his/her own?
As for the release date, the game is set to launch next year, though we don't know exactly when yet. That said, a beta version should be coming in the near future, so if you are interested, you can head over to the official site of the game to register.
