Genshin Impact's 2.5 update is coming out in 2 days, and along with it, the new playable character Yae Miko. She is one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact, who is the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, and the servant/friend of Raiden Shogun.
In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the Yae Miko best weapon for DPS and how to build around it.
Table of Contents
1. Best Yae Miko Build
There are 2 ways to build Yae Miko effectively, Electro Burst Support and Charged Attack DPS.
Electro Burst Support
Yae Miko's Burst is pretty straightforward. Its damage scale is based on the number of Sesshou Sakura fox turrets you have on the field. This is the most effective build for Yae, with the potential to deal one of the highest burst damage in the game.
Charged Attack DPS
As Yae Miko is a catalyst user, her normal attacks are imbued with Electro and can easily apply Electro status. Players can build her around being a hitter, using charged attacks to deal AoE DMG and scatters. This can proc multiple times and is a good source of DPS.
With this build, players can main Yae Miko and keep her on the field to deal damage. However, it is not nearly as effective as the first build, especially if you have a better on field DPS such as Raiden Shogun.
2. Yae Miko Best Weapon
As Yae Miko is a fairly straightforward DPS character, it is fairly easy to choose weapons and artifacts for her.
Kagura's Verity (5-star)
As usual, Yae Miko's best weapon is going to be released alongside her in the weapon banner. Kagura's Verity is pretty much designed around Yae Miko's kit: every time players use an Elemental Skill, they would gain a charge of Elemental Skill DMG boost. After reaching 3 charges, they would gain another boost to Elemental DMG, which coincides with Yae's Burst.
This is the best Catalyst for Yae, however, if you have no resources to spare on the weapon banner, it is possible to replace it with other weapons on this list. The best Yae Miko sub-DPS build focuses on her elemental burst, so the damage difference between Kagura and other weapons is not that big.
Skyward Atlas (5-star)
Skyward Atlas is a Catalyst that increases your current Elemental DMG bonus by 12%. All Normal Attacks have a 50% chance to create a special damaging cloud, which actively seeks out nearby opponents to attack for 15 seconds, dealing 160% ATK DMG each attack.
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (5-star)
Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.
This is the best Catalyst for Yae if you aim to build her around Charged attacks. As the bonus of Lost Prayer also influences her Burst damage, the overall effectiveness compared to Kagura is not much at all.
Solar Pearl (4-star)
Solar Pearl is probably the best 4-star catalyst in Genshin Impact. However, it is only available as a reward for the BP bounty.
While using the Solar Pearl, Yae's normal attacks hit will increase the damage of her Elemental Skill and Burst by 20% for 6 seconds. Furthermore, her Skill and Burst will increase normal attacks damage, which allows players to engage normally when their skills are on cooldown.
Overall, if you didn't spend too many resources on weapon banners, this Catalyst is probably your best bet. Despite being 4-star, it can deal a lot of damage with its incredible buffs.
The Widsith (4-star)
The Widsith is considered one of the most unique catalysts in Genshin Impact, due to its nature of giving random bonuses. It can only be acquired through the gacha. With this weapon, Yae Miko would gain one of these three effects upon taking the field:
- Recitative: ATK will be increased by 60%
- Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48%
- Interlude: Elemental Mastery will be increased by 240
All 3 buffs are useful for Yae, however, the best one is probably Aria, which greatly increases her elemental burst damage. As the effect activates upon switch, The Widsith is super easy to use on a sub-DPS like Yae Miko.
Blackcliff Agate (4-star)
After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 12% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
This is the last decent choice for Yae Miko weapon if you don't have other Catalysts. With the Blackcliff Agate, she can serve as a decent field hitter.
