The Minecraft 1.19 update is going to come out later this year, and a lot of fans are excited about it. The update is going to be one of the biggest releases ever, incorporating features promised from 1.17 and 1.18. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 5 most anticipated new features in Minecraft 1.19 update.

1. The Warden

The addition of a new boss mob in Minecraft is always a big event, as the game barely has any big challenge bosses. The Warden is going to be one of the most terrifying parts of the Deep - at the cost of being blind, it is considered more powerful than either the Ender Dragon or the Wither.

The warden drops nothing so it is not recommended to fight them.

Because of these over buffed stats, it is revealed that the Warden can kill players with just one or two hits. At least it only comes out when players activate a sculk shrieker - there won't be any wardens wandering around.

2. Deep Dark biome

The Deep Dark is a new biome at the "deepest depths of the world". It was originally planned for 1.17, then moved to 1.18, and was then postponed to 1.19 due to increased scope. It is the rarest cave biome and may not contain any water or lava aquifers.

Sculk
Sculk is very common in the Deep Dark

Players can find the Deep Dark under continental/mountainous areas. It is often generated exclusively within the deepslate layer between Y=-1 and Y=-64. The biome will contain Deep Dark Cities, alongside all sculk-related blocks.

Similar to mushroom fields, with the exception of spawners, no mobs other than wardens can spawn there, through the activation of sculk shriekers.

3. Ancient Cities

Similar to Strongholds in terms of size, an Ancient City is a structure generated in the Deep Dark. It is a massive palace-like structure that stretches throughout the biome. The place contains many long corridors with wool floors (to prevent vibrations).

The corridors are mainly made of deepslate, with the frame being reinforced deepslate, a new unobtainable block. There are also some smaller ruins off to the side of the main corridors, each containing 1-2 loot chests.

At the center of the city is a large rectangular structure resembling a warden's head, made from reinforced deepslate. This location is likely to relate to the warden spawns.

4. The new Allay mob

Allay was the winner of the mob contest in Minecraft Live 2021. Because of that, it is going to debut immediately in Minecraft 1.19. Overall, Allays will unlock a lot of new possibilities for builds due to their autonomous feature. This little critter will move around nearby chunks and collect various items for players. Once it has gathered a stack of that item, it will fly back to the player or a note block for dropoff.

The inclusion of the Allay would be a most welcome addition in Minecraft, as this is probably the first time a mob that exists solely to benefit the player was added in.

5. Swift sneak enchantment

Swift Sneak is a boot enchantment that increases your movement speed while crouching. This enchantment can only be applied to boots and no other piece of armors can have it.

There are no other uses for this enchantment except for dealing with the Warden, which are dangerous blind creatures that react to the sound players made. The only way to escape them is to crouch and sneak away, and this enchantment would greatly boost sneaking speed.

Swift Sneak
There are 3 levels of this enchantment, with the speed boost increasing each level.

Similar to Soul Speed, Swift Sneak is going to be an exclusive enchantment of the Deep Dark biomes. Players can only find them in the giant creepy structures in the underground ancient cities. Furthermore, Swift Sneak is also mutually exclusive with other popular boot enchantments such as Soul Speed or Frost Walker.
