Helldivers 2 builds on its predecessor by improving cooperative gameplay with new mechanics. Lately, the game has received a major update 01.000.400 that greatly improves the effectiveness of weapons and strategies, rebalances enemy encounters, and introduces new environmental effects as well as social features. However, there are still many unresolved issues, and the developer is currently working hard to fix them. Before, the developer hinted at these patch notes on their X account.
This new update concentrates on fixing crashes and solving various bugs that have been causing problems during gameplay. Below is the complete list of changes in update 1.000.402, let’s have a look:

Fixing crashes:
- Occurred during settings changes.
- Corrupted font textures when switching languages.
- Happened after finishing a mission.
- When accessing the social menu with more than 100 friends; now limited to 100 visible friends, though players remain connected with all.
- When managing many blocked players or friend requests in the social menu.
- When minimizing the game after changing to fullscreen mode.
- Occurred when picking up equipment.
- Related to interacting with a terminal as a client after a host migration.
- Related to minefields.
Miscellaneous fixes:
- Problems with dodging and going prone.
- Fixed the issue where you couldn't stand up while using the ballistic shield.
- Improved reload speed for the Recoilless weapon.
- Fixed a bug preventing console users from writing a description when reporting a player.
- Addressed vehicle preview not disappearing in Warbonds when quickly scrolling through the catalog.
- Fixed Spear weapon not targeting certain objects like spawners.
- Increased durability of Sentries so they aren't destroyed instantly by explosions.
- Fixed bug where progress in operations would be lost if kicked for inactivity.
- Changed the "Remove Friend" and "Block Player" buttons to require a hold-to-confirm action.
- Fixed bug causing aiming down sights (ADS) after respawn.
- Prevented soft lock if receiving an interact emote while holding a grenade.
- Corrected aiming inaccuracies in ADS when players change stance.
- Fixed the issue with a broken player model in the career tab on someone else's ship.
- Adjusted recoil values for the Adjudicator weapon.
- Fixed armory terminals losing function when the last client player leaves the host's ship.
- Added missing translations for flying patrol operation modifiers.
- Resolved issue where thrown knives could remain suspended in mid-air.
- Added support for non-Latin fonts in the game's installation folder path.
- Ensured vehicle skins applied correctly to all variations when equipped from Warbonds.
- Fixed flag objectives not properly tracking Helldiver's position on Combat Walkers.
- Fixed missing description for PH-202 Twigsnapper helmet.
- Corrected the issue where the shuttle would pass through Bile Titans and terrain during landing.
- Improved performance on PS5 when the CPU is heavily used.
- Fixed visual effects remaining after destroying Spore Spewers.
- Ensured visual effects for stimulant effects remained visible for the entire duration with med-kit bonuses.
- Fixed bug allowing emote-receiving players to use weapons during emote animations.
- Adjusted direction of Hellbombs when called down to face the player instead of away.
Other Issues:
- Sending friend requests using friend codes doesn't work now.
- Players might not be able to join or invite others to their game.
- Recently added players appear in the middle of the 'Recent Players' list.
- There could be delays in receiving Medals and Super Credits.
- Operations become available again after reconnecting following being kicked for being AFK.
- Enemies that bleed out don't count towards Personal Orders and Eradicate missions.
- Arc weapons occasionally behave inconsistently or misfire.
- Many weapons shoot below the crosshair when aiming down sights.
- The Plasma Punisher can't shoot through shield generators.
- Stratagem beams might attach to enemies but deploy to their original location.
- The "Hand Carts" ship module doesn't reduce cooldown for Shield Generator Packs.
- The Bile Titan sometimes doesn't take damage to its head.
- The Charger's rear end doesn't take damage from explosions.
- Players might get stuck in the Loadout screen when joining a game in progress.
- Reinforcements may not be available for players joining a game in progress.
- Planet liberation reaches 100% after every Defend mission.
- The "Raise Flag of Super Earth" objective lacks a progress bar.
- Mission count in the Career tab resets to zero after each game restart.
- Descriptions for some weapons are outdated and don't match their current design.
