One-Punch Man has been a very successful work. The original webcomic has been adapted into many forms of media, from manga to anime and finally to video games. A few months ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a One-Punch Man video game for PC and consoles, dubbed “One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. While the exact method that the dev would use to resolve Saitama’s unlimited power is still unclear, at least we know the release date of the game now.

The game would be released on Feb 28, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its cast would feature the majority of characters from the manga and anime. In the trailer below, we get to see various new action set pieces with various heroes and villains from the One Punch Man universe like Metal Knight, Melzargard, King, Stinger, or even Dream Saitama.

There would also be a 3 vs 3 mode

What is “Dream Saitama”, you ask? It is a way that Bandai Namco used to circumvent Saitama’s power, nerfing him down to other character’s level. He would be a version of Saitama who’s wearing a pajama, has the same move set but without the ability to defeat any characters in just one punch.

Outside of that, Saitama would work as a supporting character, who would be called into the fight after certain limits are reached. It is very likely that he would have the main role in the story mode of the game, as the story, in general, is told in his perspective.

Bandai Namco is going to start 2020 with multiple blasts. With their Q1 lineup currently contains two anime games, this, and Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, the first months of 2020 is definitely going to be a blast for anime fans.
