Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a role-playing game set in the fictional Seattle City in the World of Darkness setting.
In this game, players would strive to become the ultimate vampire as they hunt for their blood bounty within the city. The story begins similar to the first game, with your creation sparks a blood war amongst the top clans of the vampire in the city. You would have to enter a clan and put a stop to the war before it spreads and destroys Seattle. Below is the gameplay reveal trailer from E3.
One of the unique features in this game is the Masquerade system, one of the signature parts of the World of Darkness Settings. It is a rule of secrecy that keep the Vampires hidden from humanity. Be careful when using your vampire powers, as breaking the rules would summon a kill squad out for your blood.
The factions in Vampire the Masquerade 2 are a little bit different from the previous game, with multiple clans vying for the control of the city. During the campaign, the player would learn more about the various factions and interact with them. They can either choose to join a faction, create an alliance between one faction to another, or even put two factions together. As there are a lot of ways one can interact with the state of the world, there would also be multiple impactful endings that would make your playtime worth it.
There are many clans to choose from, each with a different set of vampiric powers. You can master the arcane with the Tremere, gain boundless charisma with Ventrue, or obtain massive physical strength with Brujah. Furthermore, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is written by the same author of the original – which means the quality of the story would remain unchanged.
